She’s one of those artists we’ve been waiting so long to see perform live, so you know we also had to grab a ticket to HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR to support Towa as she opens for Billie Eilish this fall! Running The ‘Rat Race’ Of Life
“‘Rat Race’ is about the feeling of being trapped in a cycle where your progress never seems to lead to full satisfaction, you work tirelessly, pushing toward what seems like the finish line. But as you approach it, it moves slightly out of reach, keeping you perpetually in the race. There’s always more to achieve, more to do. This relentless machine doesn’t pause for you to look up and enjoy your victories. It offers just enough to keep you hooked, only to snatch it away, leaving you craving more.”
Towa Bird stated about the song in a press release
This song is all about experiencing the highs and lows of this crazy thing we call life. It’s also about not listening to the people who tell you “no,” and to just keep pushing and chasing your dream because life can be a crazy rat race, but you don’t want to stop midway. This song also hints at her song ‘B.I.L.LS.’ which also touches on similar themes of overworking oneself for success.

Towa is a great example of chasing your dreams! She’s such a hard worker and has always inspired us to reach for things that may seem unreachable. If you believe in yourself, you can get there. At the end of the day, the only opinion that matters is your own. Thanks, Towa for the inspiration!
