Guess who’s back with another artist interview? We at THP love putting people onto their new favorite artist. And today, we got to interview someone you’ll fall in love with at first listen: WILDBERRY!
WILDBERRY is a Korean alternative artist with a dreamy and healing quality to her sound. She’s just released her first full-length album, AGAPE, and we’re so obsessed!
We won’t keep you waiting much longer. Here’s our WILDBERRY interview!
Welcome to The Honey POP! We’re so excited to talk with you today. To start off, what are three fun facts you’d like listeners to know about you?
Hey Honey POP! Here are three fun facts about me:
– I love spending time with nature—just being with trees and connecting with them.
– I believe music has the power to heal, and I’ve recently been researching specific sound frequencies.
– Oh, and I’m a Taurus!

AGAPE
Congratulations on the release of your new album, AGAPE! How are you feeling now that this project is out in the world?
This year flew by because I was so focused on AGAPE. A lot of energy went into it, and I’m really grateful to the amazing creative team who helped bring it all together.
“AGAPE” comes from ancient Greek, meaning unconditional, divine love. The album explores the emotions I had to learn to understand love better. It’s a very honest project, and I hope it touches hidden emotions in people’s hearts and brings them comfort.
Your music is so dreamy and easy to vibe with. If you could set the scene for everyone’s first time listening to the album, what would it look like?
Great question! I always imagine romantic scenes. Picture a desert at sunset with two people inflating a balloon for a long journey. They float away in an air balloon, slowly rising above the desert and drifting past the clouds, higher and higher… until they wake up from a dream, with my album playing in the background.
As you know, the word “agape” can have multiple meanings. How did you decide on the overall message/concept?
I try to see myself from a third-person perspective, but that’s hard when it comes to love. Love changes the way you experience even the same situations.
For me, AGAPE represents the most ideal form of love—one that’s unconditional and constant, no matter what. I wanted to explore that journey throughout the album, using playful arrangements and meaningful lyrics. If you listen closely, you’ll notice those little details.
Her Songs
We think it’s incredible that you wrote and composed every single song on AGAPE. What was your favorite part about working on it?
Since I’ve been making music on my own for so long, I feel like I know what suits my voice and style best. One of my favorite moments was when I came up with the topline for ‘Sugar Thrillz.’ It all came together almost in one take, and it felt amazing how naturally everything clicked.
Writing all the lyrics was really rewarding too. It felt good knowing that every song stayed true to the message I wanted to share.
Which song from the album was the easiest to write/record, and which was the most difficult? Why?
The easiest song was ‘Fantasize.’ It’s a dreamy, casual house track, which is exactly my vibe, so it was a lot of fun to create. The hook even says, “It feels like heaven sent me your love. I can’t believe it,” capturing that sense of magical love.
The most challenging song was ‘Two Hopes.’ It starts off very softly but builds into a powerful, dynamic section that required a lot from my vocals. I don’t usually think of my voice as very powerful, so figuring out how to project and express those emotions was tough. But in the end, I trusted myself, and it all came together after a lot of hard work.
You’ve pre-released a few songs from AGAPE in the last few months. How did you decide which tracks you wanted fans to hear as a peek at the full album? Were there any songs you had to leave off of this record?
I tend to think about seasons when deciding when to release music. ‘Timescape’ and ‘Dive in Your Eyes’ were sketched out last year, so they felt right to release as a sneak peek. I wanted the pre-releases to build anticipation while showing different moods from the album.
Since AGAPE has 11 tracks, I wanted people to take their time with each one. From the smooth R&B intro ‘Lose Me or Love Me’ to the upbeat energy of ‘Fantasize,’ I carefully curated the flow of the album to tell a complete story.
There were 2-3 songs I didn’t end up including, but I wouldn’t say they were “left out.” We were working with a tight schedule, so we focused on the songs that felt most complete.
Creative Growth
We absolutely love the new music video for your tracks, ‘Castaway’ and ‘Witness (out of love).’ Can you talk about your experience filming it?
It was such an amazing experience! I collaborated with some well-known directors and creatives in Korea, and I played three different characters in the video.
One scene involved special lighting effects, and it felt surreal, almost like I was walking through a mist I could touch. The ocean was so clear that filming in the water went smoothly too.
The headpieces, the VFX, and the way each character’s world came to life made me really proud of this project.
It’s been almost a year since your last album release with ORB. As an artist, how much have you changed since then?
ORB was the first album I made with the creative studio ORB Haus, and since then, I’ve released more music and spent a lot of time reflecting on the messages I want to share. In the beginning, I wasn’t always sure about my direction, but over time, I’ve figured out what’s important to me and what I want to stand for.
I believe music has real healing power, and I see myself as a messenger for that energy. Nature and the universe are huge sources of inspiration for me. Just like everything exists as it is, I try to accept things as they come and live with peace and love. Sharing that energy through my music feels like my purpose.

What’s Next
How would you describe the era that your music is in right now?
I feel like I’m making experimental, alternative music that fits perfectly with the modern era. I want to keep exploring futuristic sounds and experimenting with new ideas. At the same time, I love listening to classical and jazz—it reminds me that every era has its own beauty.
Music isn’t about following rules or fitting into genres. It’s about expressing yourself freely and honestly. There are no right answers, and that’s what makes it exciting.
Now that you’ve released AGAPE, what are some of your plans for the rest of 2024? Can you give us some hints?
I’m planning more live shows with AGAPE and already sketching new songs for next year. One of my dreams is to create a meditation album with sounds from nature, and I’m hoping to make that happen soon.
Since AGAPE is my first full-length album, I feel like this is just the beginning. There’s so much more I want to learn and explore. Stay tuned—there’s a lot more to come!
The album explores the emotions I had to learn to understand love better. It’s a very honest project, and I hope it touches hidden emotions in people’s hearts and brings them comfort.
