Since their debut nearly a decade ago, TWICE have become one of the biggest girl groups of all time. And not just by the numbers, but also by the way they’ve made each of their comebacks so special for Onces all over the world. TWICE comeback season is truly something ‘Magical,’ and that’s especially true for their latest mini-album, Strategy! Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu explore themes of love and confidence across six tracks that will get you singing along in no time.
Between the stunning visuals, ridiculously catchy music, and eye-catching promotions, this TWICE era is already one we’ll never forget. Let’s take a look at the Strategy era step by step, inspired by the title track’s theme!
Step 1: Get Everyone Around The World & Metaverse Excited
As some of the most successful women in music, TWICE know that a huge part of making a musical comeback successful is building hype and creating an experience fans won’t forget before they even press play. And as global superstars, they were up for that challenge with a fun trip to Los Angeles, California!
They kicked off an iconic promo weekend on November 21st, when they did a livestream performance on Amazon Music Live! The performance included smashes like ‘The Feels’ and newer faves like ‘I Got You,’ reminding longtime and recently-converted Onces of what makes them such a spectacular group. The show aired on Twitch and Prime Video, and even became Amazon Music’s most-viewed production ever! That’s TWICE for you, just casually breaking records on a Thursday night.
The girls’ next stop in L.A. was their special pop-up experience for Complex, which drew in an amazing number of Onces across November 23rd and 24th! Complete with merch and cute photo ops, the first day had a five-block line (the longest for any L.A. Complex Pop-Up ever) and the memorabilia sold out by the end of the second day. Some fans even lined up 24 hours before the event opened! We loved every detail we saw, from the cute stars on the wall and fun balloon arches, to the adorable shirts and caps offered as merch. We’re soooo jealous of anyone who got to check it out IRL!

The last stop on TWICE’s promo weekend itinerary was Roblox’s TWICE Square! And again, the group broke records to become the most-attended meet and greet for any artist in Roblox history. Over 300 thousand Onces popped in, with over 33 thousand visits at once! We hope they got to explore TWICE Square after virtually meeting the girls, because it’s absolutely adorable and so fun for any K-Pop fan to check out.
Step 2: Gorgeous Teaser Photos
Speaking of adorable things, we simply have to mention the teaser photos TWICE took for this new era. From bolder looks with bright red accessories to more casual, pastel-accented outfits, we’ve added so many pictures to our folder of iconic TWICE style moments. Catch us filling our Christmas lists with different clothes we can use to recreate these looks at home!

Step 3: Recruit The Right Hot Girl For A Feature
2024 has given us some of the most iconic K-Pop collabs of all time, including TWICE’s appearance on Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Mamushi’ remix. The girls came in hot, flexing how they’ve sold out venues like America’s MetLife and So-Fi Stadiums and Japan’s Nissan Stadium. This collab was such a solid pairing, and we love that it brought together so many talented women who have encouraged fans to be their best, fiercest selves.
So naturally, we were wondering when we’d get to hear Megan hop on a TWICE song! And that brings us right to the next step…
Step 4: A Title Track For The Ages
The mini-album’s title track features none other than Megan Thee Stallion, and that’s not the only reason we’re absolutely obsessed with it. ‘Strategy’ sees an iconic return of TWICE’s signature sparkling sound and confidence, describing how they’d get someone to fall in love with them. From the groovy beat and fun concept to Megan’s standout verse, it’s seriously been stuck in our heads since the moment we heard it for the first time. “Hey, boy, I’mma getcha” will go down in history as one of the girls’ most memorable lines!
Step 5: Sprinkle In Some Stellar B-Sides
We can’t help but get a tiny bit sad when ‘Strategy’ ends, but TWICE more than make up for it with the fantastic b-sides on this mini-album! ‘Kiss My Troubles Away’ is a sweet love song about the comfort the girls feel in a relationship, with a retro-modern-fusion beat that reminds us of ‘Can’t Stop Me.’ We totally adore ‘Like It Like It’ and its energetic, hyperpop-infused feel that makes us want to fall in love and head out on the dance floor. When that bridge hits and Jihyo, Dahyun, Nayeon, and Chaeyoung exchange lines? Chef’s kiss, no notes, already one of our all-time favorite TWICE songs.
It’s safe to say that ‘Sweetest Obsession’ is our new obsession, showing off the dreamy side of falling for someone and wanting to show them how you feel. We need it on a K-drama soundtrack, stat! ‘Keeper’ continues the dreamy vibes with some self-love, as the girls insist they’re keepers that a partner should make sure to keep in their life. It’s so cool that they included self-love and confidence as key themes on a love-themed mini-album! As if the song wasn’t already sweet enough, you’ll love it even more when you realize Dahyun wrote all the lyrics.
The mini-album’s last track, ‘Magical,’ is just as special as the name suggests! It’s an English song about finding warm love in the winter, with beautiful synths, chiming bells, and vocals from the girls. Onces should definitely have this all over their holiday playlists, romantic playlists, daydreaming playlists, and any other playlist you can think of. What a way to close out the amazing year TWICE has had!
