It’s a good week to be an all-around music lover! We have quite a stacked lineup with some of the best artists making music right now! From the new Daniel Seavey album to the new Maddie Zahm track, there is a project for everyone to dive into!
Ingrid Andress – ‘Footprints’
‘Footprints’ is a stunning love song, but not in the typical way you may think. This is a song about the love between siblings, about the bond that is crafted, and about following in the footprints that older siblings leave. This track perfectly showcases the storyteller Ingrid Andress is and has always been.

Willie Jones – ‘Silverado’
If you listened to ‘JUST FOR FUN’ off of COWBOY CARTER and wanted more of Willie Jones’s voice like we did, ‘Silverado’ is the perfect fix! This record is the perfect introduction to Willie Jones. It’s country infused but doesn’t completely sit in one genre box, which is a theme throughout Willie’s discography we have always loved.

Rachel Chinouriri – ‘Can we talk about Isaac?’
Rachel Chinouriri is taking over the world, and rightfully so! From What A Devastating Turn of Events to now, opening for Sabrina Carpenter on the Short n’ Sweet tour, this last year has been what we can only imagine as a whirlwind for Rachel. ‘Can We Talk About Isaac?’ is the first track off of Rachel’s upcoming EP Little House, and it has us fully convinced that Rachel will be solidified as one of the main figures in pop music.

Taylor Bickett – ‘The Crime’
We should have known to grab tissues for this song. ‘The Crime’ is the perfect showcasing of what a profound, and emotive storyteller Taylor Bickett is. Each lyric flashes us back to an experience we’ve had. To a time when our guards have been down and we’ve been hurt. This song is easily a discography highlight, which is high praise considering we are such big Taylor fans.

Avery Friedman – ‘Photo Booth’
If you’re looking to fill your musical roster with one of our favorite up and coming indie pop artists, look no further than Avery Friedman! ‘Photo Booth’ is somehow only Avery’s second release, and it already sounds so much like she’s come into her own as an artist. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Maddie Zahm – ‘Heaven’
It’s no secret that we are Maddie Zahm fans here at THP! We have been around since her song ‘Family Reunions,’ so going from that to the honesty found on ‘Heaven’ is night and day! ‘Heaven’ flexes one of Maddie’s strongest muscles, in our opinion, which is Maddie’s relationship with her pen. We can’t wait to see where that storytelling ability takes us as listeners on her upcoming EP (the angry part).

Daniel Seavey – Second Wind
Daniel Seavey fans rejoice! We finally have Daniel’s debut solo album, Second Wind. This record chronicles Daniel coming into his own as an artist, and you can feel that more and more with every track. From Daniel’s writing style to his sonic choices, each piece of this record feels intentional and makes for one of our favorite records of the year so far. ‘Sunny Isles’ has been on a loop for us and is our current favorite track.

Griff – ‘last night’s mascara’
‘last night’s mascara’ may just be the best pop song we’ve heard in quite some time. From the second the song started to the moment it ended, we felt the need to dance around the room screaming the lyrics. It immediately became that serious for us. We hope this sonic direction becomes a pattern with more upcoming releases from Griff.

Aidan Bissett – ‘are we in love yet?’
If Bleachers and The Driver Era had a baby, it would be one of our favorite rising artists: Aidan Bissett! We felt complete and total serotonin while listening to ‘are we in love yet?’ It’s a similar feeling to that of listening to ‘Let’s Get Married’ by Bleachers for the first time. We will have this track on repeat all spring/summer long.

Julia Michaels – ‘GFY’
Ending a new music round-up with a new Julia Michaels track is the way to go! ‘GFY’ is the post-breakup song that we wish we could have written. It’s that period that comes after the sadness, once you’ve realized that maybe you need to stop taking the high road and just want to tell them to ‘GFY.’ This song may just be the cure to any post-breakup slump you’re in.
