It’s rare that we ever get to witness a brand-new band being formed from the ground up, right before our eyes. Not to mention, it’s a band comprised of two of our favorite artists – Ashe and FINNEAS! When the two announced they were forming a band, with their other musician friends Ricky and Marinelli, we lost our minds. At first, we thought it was a joke, but no, they were being serious…
“This is the way every artist dreams of making an album. People don’t sing together anymore when they’re recording, but it was so romantic and fun.”
“It’s a true ‘long-play album’ in its real intended meaning. Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.”

Teasing The Band
For the past few months, FINNEAS and Ashe have been subtly teasing the possibility of creating more music together on a bigger scale. They created a secret Instagram account, called “@weshouldmakeaband,” and began posting short clips to the page. Naturally, fans started picking up on it and theorizing what could be happening. For a while, that’s all that happened. Videos were being posted and fans were freaking out all over the internet. Then, to our sudden surprise, official Instagram and TikTok accounts were made, and a song was dropped into our laps…
‘The Little Mess You Made’
It’s all over the news! So now that we’ve triple-confirmed that The Favors is real, we had to deep dive into everything we know thus far about the band and what their new sound will be. Thankfully, they dropped a single to help us along the way. ‘The Little Mess You Made’ is incredible, obviously. When you have two musical geniuses like Ashe and FINNEAS in the same studio, magic is bound to happen.
If this single is any indication of what The Favors will do in the future, we’re totally 100% here for it. The tension in these lyrics and the two’s banter is undeniably there, yearning just completely to spill over into a full-length album. If you’re a fan of Fleetwood Mac or Carole King, then The Favors is going to be right up your musical alley!

The Dream
Of course, FINNEAS and Ashe couldn’t announce the makings of a new band without announcing an album. Their debut album, The Dream, drops on September 19, 2025. You can pre-save it here so that it’s yours the moment it drops! So far, we know there are 12 new tracks, including ‘The Little Mess You Made,’ set to drop and give us all the feels we’ve never felt before.
Want to hear the new songs live before anyone else? FINNEAS has been teasing a possible performance at Austin City Limits this year and he’ll also be performing at a few more music festivals before then, like OutsideLands and Lollapalooza, so maybe he’ll bring Ashe along for the ride…not to mention, they have hinted there will be more live opportunities in the future! We can’t wait to sing all these new songs on the barricade with our besties!
