On the morning of April 28, 2026, Brazilian Stay were pleasantly surprised when Stray Kids’ leader Bang Chan sent a Bubble message asking for Brazilian song recommendations because he was studying R&B from different countries. Then, that got us thinking about our favorite Brazilian R&B songs, which led to our favorite Brazilians songs in general. So, Bang Chan asked and we shall deliver: here’s a list of our favorite Brazilian songs we think everyone will love.
Starting off with the R&B vibes Chan requested, even citing ‘Vê Se Não Demora’ by ResenhaDaBlakk, Kiaz, Agnes Nunes, Nith, Dcan and BigJow, we got names such as Alêe, Glória Groove and IZA. Check these out.
Alee and MC Cabelinho – ‘Luz, Cama e Ação’
Slow, sensual and slightly explicit but with a hypnotizing beat, ‘Luz, Cama e Ação’ will make you feel like your hottest version and would definitely work perfectly on a playlist with Bang Chan’s ‘Railway.’

IZA – ‘Saudade Daquilo’
IZA is one of Brazil’s most prominent voices in pop and R&B, so of course we’d include her. ‘Saudade Daquilo’ is both sexy and romantic in the best way. 100% something Mr. Christopher Bahng would be into in our humble opinion.

Glória Groove – ‘Apaga a Luz’
Glória Groove made her name in Brazilian Funk, but when GG decided to go R&B, she goes hard and we love it! ‘Apaga a Luz’ makes us want to “turn down the lights,” slow down time and just enjoy the company of our significant other.

Liniker and Melly – ‘Papo de Edredom’
‘Papo de Edredom’ is almost like a Brazilian version of Zayn‘s ‘Pillowtalk,’ but slower and carried by Liniker’s angelic vocals. We’d call it the perfect song to dance at 3 am to with your partner. And if you’ve enjoyed this, you should definitely check out Liniker’s Tiny Desk Brasil performance.

Yoún – ‘Meu Grande Amor’
If Bang Chan wants Brazilian R&B recs, then ‘Meu Grande Amor’ by Yoún has to be on the list. The classic bass-heavy beat paired with violins and a Rio accent to make anyone weak at the knees, this should 100% be on your playlists.

Clau, Cortesia da Casa and Haikaiss – ‘Pouca Pausa’
We’re currently swaying in our seat while writing about this one. This is probably one of our faves of this whole list, Clau’s voice is seriously magical and the lyrics make us feel our most powerful (just be warned about the translation because it is a little… racy). Also, mixing Portuguese and Spanish in some parts just makes it sexier in our opinion.

Agnes Nunes – ‘Lisboa’
If Bang Chan enjoyed Agnes Nunes’ participation in ‘Vê Se Não Demora,’ then he absolutely has to check out more of her stuff (and you too!) One of our personal favorites is ‘Lisboa,’ just be warned: you might fall a little (or a lot) in love with Agnes’ music and accent just like we did.

Marília Mendonça and Gaab – ‘Intenção’
Marília Mendonça was known for being one of the greatest voices of female Sertanejo (Brazilian country music,) but her voice was so incredible she could sing any genre, and ‘Intenção’ proves that perfectly. Still a Sertanejo song, but the R&B influences are there and we love it!

Baco Exu Do Blues – ‘Te Amo Disgraça’
Baco Exu do Blue has one of our favorite voices in Brazilian music in general, and hearing him sing “Drinking wine and breaking the glasses” at the beginning of the chorus is a whole experience that we think everyone should have. Only Baco could make a problematic relationship sound this good in song form.

Kiaz and L7nnon – ‘Pode Ficar’
If someone asked us to drop everything and run away with them using this song, we might just do it, to be honest. We’re convinced Bang Chan would love this and it would solidify his opinion that Brazilian Portuguese is the sexiest language ever.

Now, we’re moving on to other genres, because Brazilian music is so diverse we couldn’t stick to a single one for this whole list. Sorry, Bang Chan, but we think you’ll enjoy these nonetheless.
Marina Sena – ‘Por Supuesto’
Seeing as Channie himself mentioned Marina Sena on his messages but didn’t give us a specific song he was listening to, we felt the need to include one of her most famous songs, ‘Por Supuesto,’ on our list.

Turma do Pagode – ‘Camisa 10’
Of course at least one of the loves songs here would have a soccer metaphor, and we just couldn’t leave ‘Camisa 10’ out of the list. A good old Samba gets everyone on their feet, especially if the lyrics are as catchy as this one.

Bruno & Marrone – ‘Dormi na Praça’
Another absolute classic present at karaoke night all over the country, ‘Dormi na Praça’ is everything we associate with Sertanejo: it’s a bit of a love song and a bit of a “suffering from a broken heart” song, and we all love it.

Gilsons – ‘Várias Queixas’
‘Várias Queixas’ is one of the best love songs of the decade, argue with the wall. Even though it speaks of small differences that can hurt, it eventually circles back to “I wanna be your boyfriend” because the love is just too great to pass up.

Pabllo Vittar – ‘Disk Me’
Pabllo Vittar is almost a mandatory mention whenever we talk about K-Pop and Brazil at this point, so of course we’d include one of her songs. In this case, ‘Disk Me,’ a clever wordplay with the lyrics “Disk me ama,” which sounds like “Diz que me ama” (“say that you love me”). And we know Stray Kids love a little wordplay, so Bang Chan better check this one out.

Luan Santana – ‘Cê Topa?’
If Canada had Justin Bieber, then Brazil had Luan Santana. His songs are still massively popular to this day, even the ones that came out over a decade ago, and that includes ‘Cê Topa?,’ a song about planning a future with the person you love, asking them if they’re up for a future with “me, you, two kids and a dog.” We’d say yes in a heartbeat, to be completely honest.

Titãs – ‘Epitáfio’
One of the best pieces of advice we’ve ever received has been from this song: “I should’ve worried less about small problems.” The lyrics are a look back on life and the things we wish we’d done differently and one of those we just need to listen to on hectic days.

Marília Mendonça – ‘Infiel’
Yes, we’re mentioning her again, but we promise it’s worth it! ‘Infiel’ is one of the songs that made Marília famous and it’s still beloved to this day. It was revolutionary in its genre for being written from the female perspective, something that wasn’t common in Sertanejo back then.

Calcinha Preta is a Forró band from the state of Sergipe whose name you may have come in contact with a while ago when Bang Chan himself was compared to one of its members because of an outfit he wore to the Golden Disc Awards. B-Stays quickly pointed out the similarities and now it got us thinking Chan needs to listen to them, and there’s no other song to start with than their most famous hit, ‘Você Não Vale Nada.’
