It was May 2024, a simpler time for ZEROSE… We were busy dancing to ‘SWEAT‘ in the sunshine and donning our best cowboy fits so we could ‘Feel The POP.’ You had me at HELLO is easily one of our favorite ZEROBASEONE eras to date, and sometimes we can’t help but reminisce a little!
Luckily, we can relive the You had me at HELLO era over and over again (we love you, internet!). ZEROBASEONE are true K-Pop idols in the sense that they are phenomenal singers, dancers, and performers, but also are absolutely hilarious in variety content. They’re quick-witted, charming, and never afraid to make fun of themselves (or each other!). This, along with how fun the You had me at HELLO era was overall, is the perfect recipe for some of our favorite moments from ZEROBASEONE ever.
Idol Human Theater
This episode of one of our favorite variety shows, Idol Human Theater, is literally called ZEROBASEONE Butt Contest. So, how could we possibly not talk about it? From Matthew’s “You said POP!” to the Gunwook’s refusal to sing Ricky ‘Happy Birthday,’ this video has us in hysterics from start to finish.
Spotify K-Pop ON! Playlist Takeover
Considering ZB1’s title track was ‘Feel The POP,’ there’s surprisingly little balloon-popping content from this era. Spotify saved the day, though! We eat it up every single time one of our favorite groups does quizzes or guess-the-song challenges, but the highlight of this episode, obviously, has to be the balloon relay.
1N2D
We always love seeing ZB1 on 1N2D, but this might be our favorite episode from them. They complete a few different missions, but by far the highlight is the “Of course (당연하지)” game, where members go head-to-head making bold accusations that their rival has to agree with unless they wanna lose the game. From “You know how my lips taste, right?” to “You regretted being on the same team [ZEROBASEONE] with me, didn’t you?” They do not hold back.
ZB1_FOLDER Pit-A-Pat Challenge
This is yet another piece of ZEROBASEONE content where they will cross any limits to be hilarious and merciless. Aside from their attempts to flutter each other’s hearts (yes, that is the actual concept of this show), every ZEROSE know that the real highlight is Hanbin’s laugh that sounds like a boiling kettle. Also, why is it kind of sweet that they recognize each other’s voices even with those goofy mic effects?
SELF-ON KODE
We’re gonna make a grand statement here: this episode is one of the best pieces of K-Pop variety content ever. Maybe we’re biased as we’re both ATINY and ZEROSE, but we reckon it’s actually just that good. Two of K-Pop’s most polite and charming idols meeting each other because one of them stans the other? Bring us the popcorn and press play.
ZE_pisode ‘Feel The POP’ Dance Practice Behind
We’re going slightly more lowkey now, with some ZEROBASEONE behind-the-scenes content! Having said that, we’re not sure that the jebes are even capable of being lowkey. We love seeing them in their natural habitat (the dance studio) and how they work with one another on a day-to-day basis. From leader Hanbin going into total focus mode to the eldest (Jiwoong) and youngest (Yujin) members playfighting, this video is a feast.
Hello 82 SMARTY-PANTS!
Guess what is the only thing funnier than the ZEROBASEONE members roasting each other. Yep, it’s the ZEROBASEONE members getting roasted by children. Matthew and Ricky suffered greatly to give ZEROSE this content, but we promise it was worth it!
ZB1_FOLDER 1st Anniversary Special
To celebrate the 1st anniversary of the day ZEROBASEONE was formed (April 20th, 2023), the members did something most survival show victors would never do: go back. ZB1 revisited their old stomping ground from the Boys Planet days! Both chaos and tears ensued, with ZEROBASEONE playing plenty of games, as well as sharing some very heartfelt letters they’d written for one another.
