SXSW rushed through Austin, Texas, this month, meaning we got a chance to find some fantastic new artists and see some incredible live music! One of those hot new artists was okayceci, but you may better know her by her viral track, ‘feel you,’ that’s already garnered over 6.5 million Spotify streams! An epitome of bedroom pop, okayceci’s soft voice and dreamy tracks are the perfect soundtrack for a nice chill day. So, it’s no surprise so many are pressing play on those vibes!
Gracing the Empire Garage stage for her first SXSW performance ever, okayceci chilled the crowd and helped set the mood as the venue started to fill up for the headliner of the night, T-Pain. She held her own for her short set that was included in a super diverse line-up, leaving us wanting more after the 15-minute taste she gave!
The 21-year-old Miami native hopped on the scene only three years ago, in early 2019, and has since laid her melodic vocals on only a few tracks so far, and we were lucky enough to hear them all live Wednesday night! Growing in popularity as her TikTok followers grew to the 182K they’re at right now, we know we’re among the many who are in eager wait to hear her debut project, u r cute. Luckily, the performance can help hold us over a little longer as we patiently put her current discography on repeat. Want to lay in your room and act like you were at the show?
