Katie Belle doesn’t only sing, she dances, acts and models as well! Now, you’re probably like us, and are thinking, “Man, what can’t she do?” and we’ll probably never know that answer. Recently, Katie has released two tracks, ‘Daughter,’ and ‘Now That I Know,’ and they’ve got us in our feels.
You may have seen Katie on the silver screen, as she graced your TV screens on the 19th season of American Idol, as she captured the hearts of many. We caught up with Katie, as she discusses her track ‘Daughter,’ her fave lyrics, and what the future holds for her and her YouTube channel!
Have you imagined any different versions of ‘Daughter?’ We think an Orchestra version would sound really nice accompanying your voice!
I haven’t! I’m just now getting back to live performances since covid but an orchestra sounds great. I love live instruments and strings so I think that would be a beautiful rendition.
What are your fave lyrics from the track?
The first line!!! “I was too young to see through you, but old enough to feel the pain” I like this line most because I was 17 when my heart got broken. They say you don’t know what love is when you’re that young and maybe that’s true, but I definitely knew what heartbreak felt like.
You do it all, sing, act, model and you even have a YouTube channel. Do you see yourself revisiting your channel and doing more daily vlogs?
Yes, and I keep meaning to! YouTube is a full-time job and sometimes it’s hard to keep up but I’m always so proud of my vlogs and videos when I make them and I love going back and watching them too!
You post covers on your Channel, so which has been your favorite so far? Can we be expecting anymore?
My favorite is probably ‘Lover’ by Taylor Swift, I really love that song so I had a lot of fun covering it. And yes, more covers will be in the near future for sure(:
How do you think being a model has helped you in your music career and vice versa?
I reeeally know my angels! Hahaha! Which has definitely come in handy
What was your favorite moment while modeling?
Hands down, getting to go to Paris to shoot bridal gowns!!
You said your musical inspirations are always constantly changing, so instead we would like to know which artists you’ve had on repeat lately?
Still Woozy, Dua Lipa, Labrinth, Heart, just to name a few!
How beneficial do you think social media is for artists, especially up and coming ones, who are releasing music via social media?
It’s a double-edged sword. While I think it’s one of the best inventions in the last 20 years for business and marketing I think it’s an absolute plague for our mental health as humans. I do it because it’s a part of my job. It really has done amazing things for me and connected me with incredible people, but I always say if I wasn’t in the entertainment industry you would not be able to find me on any social media app. I would go ghost.
