Alright y’all, our childhood came around full circle last week. We got to see Jesse McCartney when he came to Houston last week and our inner child absolutely melted!
‘Just So You Know,’ We Adore Jesse
Picture this, you are a pre-teen and have posters of Jesse all over your room. Now fast forward to 2022 and you are in your late twenties, had to take down all of your childhood posters in your childhood home (it was a sad day for all), but you finally saw him live and in person. Life really comes full circle, doesn’t it?
Jesse really took us back to 2004, when we were all just kids loving life. He played his hits from his Beautiful Soul and Right Where You Want Me albums, while also playing hits from his newer albums. Our favorite throwbacks were: ‘She’s No You,’ ‘Just So You Know,’ and ‘Beautiful Soul.’
If you weren’t aware, Jesse wrote ‘Bleeding Love’ which eventually went to Leona Lewis and became a smash hit on the charts. Although we adore Leona’s version, we really do love Jesse’s version and love that he “covers” it during his tours. We always get hype when he brings out the piano because we know our ears are about to be blessed.
Even though we adore the older stuff, you can’t not love Jesse’s newer albums. From his newest release, New Stage, he played ‘Lemonade,’ ‘New Stage,’ and our personal favorite, ‘Friends.’
