Anime Fans! We’re Getting a Concert!

Are you an anime fan? Lover of music and all things anime? We’ve got an event that you won’t wanna miss! A little birdie told us, and now we’re passing the good news on to you. A concert filled with artists who have created music for some of the biggest anime! And we gotta say, the theme is so kawaii~

The theme gives off major retro gamer vibes! Even the promotional video has that cool spin on the presentation of their artists. Now the event will be live-streamed online on July 17th from 17:00-21:00 JST. That’s four whole hours jam-packed with the best tunes. Don’t believe us? Dying to know the artists? Lucky us, we get TEN!

There are a whole lot of amazing acts coming at us fast for this event! We figured we would break down a few just so you understand the level of hype we NEED to be for this. You know, we know, sleep has always been sacrificed for the sake of the anime grind.

This event is no different:

GRANRODEO

These guys have been in the game at least since 2005 when it comes to anime. Whether it’s shojo or shonen, these guys are singing their hearts out and providing us with the jams. If you love Kuroko no Basket or Bungo Stray Dogs, then you need to attend! They did the first opening for Bungo Stray Dogs and the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and seventh opening songs for Kuroko no Basket.

The lead singer also did some voice work for the show. Can you guess who?

Liella!

Love Live! is a huge deal in Japan and has been going on for what can seem like forever. It’s an anime, and there are many iterations, but the latest is Love Live! Superstar!! Within the show is a high school idol group called Liella! Originally, they had five members, but there looks to be more announced to join! We absolutely love when reality and fiction bridge the gap.

Liyuu

Liyuu voices one of the characters in Love Live! Superstar!! universe. She is a Chinese cosplayer and singer. She has also sung opening and endings for Hatena Illusion and I’m Standing on a Million Lives. She seems to have a huge love for the classic cutesy anime we know and love. We’re so excited to see her perform!

Maaya Uchida

We know and absolutely love her for her many voice-acting roles. Some big ones we love are Hiyori Iki from Noragami and Norman from The Promised Neverland. As for singing, she sang songs for SSSS.DYNAZENON and Akuma no Riddle. The ending and intro theme are both thanks to Maaya. She’s been in the industry for a while, so we are looking forward to her vocals!

Yuma Uchida

The darling brother to the aforementioned Maaya. He’s been in the industry for a while as well, both as a singer and voice actor. We are so pleased to see him on this lineup! He’s the beautiful voice of Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen and Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket. We’re low-key swooning, but this is a concert! What anime music has he contributed that lovely voice to? Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life has its ending song thanks to Yuma.

May’n (Macross Frontier, Accel World)

Mei Nakabayashi is a singer from good old Nagoya, Japan! She has lent her beautiful voice to Macross Frontier as Sheryl Nome’s singing voice. On top of that, she has performed openings and endings for Macross FrontierAria the Scarlet AmmoAccel WorldAquarion Logos, and Restaurant to Another World. She’s really been soaring since 2003, and we are so here for that voice!

Miyu Tomita (Date a Live IV)

Another talented beauty to add to the lineup! Miu Tomita has done a little voice acting and singing. Her musical talent has been used for Date a Live IV‘s opening song. Date a Live is another huge deal anime in Japan! As well as lending her voice to Made in Abyss‘ main character Riko and helping sing the opening for the first season of Made in Abyss.

Now that sounds like a night to remember! Let’s get buzzing, honey bees; get your tickets now here. Tickets are 3,300 yen with a 350 yen surcharge! The total comes out to around 26.84 USD.
