3 New Songs To Add To Your Sad Vibes Playlist

We’re gonna be honest, we at The Honey POP are suckers for good sad songs. And honestly, who isn’t? Last month, we gave you 5 sad songs for your late-night cry sessions, and now we have 3 more for you. They hurt, but they hurt so good!

Devin Kennedy –  ‘As Is’

First up is Devin Kennedy’s latest single, ‘As Is.’ This relaxed R&B song reminds us of blackbear’s earlier music and we dig it. It may not sound sad, but we’re definitely getting the very relatable vibe of missing and wishing you could go back to something, regardless of how it was. We love the creativity in the music video of him letting go and painting freely.

Our favorite lyrics: “Pick a side, don’t flip flop, if it’s one thing, it’s a sure thing, it’s a deadlock.”

We’re excited to see what he releases next because if it’s anything like this, it’s gonna be a hit!

Lily Moore – ‘Beautiful Lie’

Next up is Lily Moore’s latest single, ‘Beautiful Lie!’ This soulful song is ‘beautiful’ and full of emotion. We love the symbolism in this video. She’s holding a bright blue drink in her hand while sitting in a pink flamingo float. Meanwhile, the water is dirty and full of leaves. It gives us the impression that the water was most likely clear at one point, just like the relationship was full of happiness, at one point. Disregarding the upkeep of the water, just like the relationship.

Our favorite lyric: “I’ll keep the heartache, the last thing that you gave, the part of us that never dies, my head says no chance, but my body’s trying to dance, for you, like I used to do.”

Softee – ‘Isn’t Enough’

And last but certainly not least, we have Softee’s ‘Isn’t Enough!’ We love this song for multiple reasons. When it comes to sad songs about love, we tend to focus on getting broken up with. But it still isn’t easy the other way around, and this is what this synth-based song focuses on. The music video is both entertaining and symbolic.

Our favorite lyric: “Can’t depend on your love to keep me going, no, it isn’t enough, and I can’t give you what you want, all along, I loved you, oh it wasn’t fake.”
