And That’s What You Missed… In K-Pop!

From hot debuts to English versions of songs and announced comebacks, sometimes keeping up for a K-pop fan can be a job all of our own. Add in being a multi-stan and having to juggle our top ten or twenty groups at the same time. Things are bound to slip through the cracks, but that’s okay! It doesn’t make you less of a fan nor does it mean your lacking in any way, either. You’re also in luck, because we here at The Honey POP understand how hectic it can be keeping up with all of our faves, so we are to give you a rundown on 4 things you may have missed that are happening in K-pop!

Kidd King Releases Single ‘GO LOUD!’

One thing we can attest to is that Amoeba Culture artists never miss. As a part of the label’s Seed Project, the song features artist Punchnello and brings the rappers to the rock show. With guitars with heavy distortion that aren’t typically seen in hip-hop songs, ‘GO LOUD!’ is a refreshing way of mixing the genre. This type of experimentation can sometimes come off as overbearing, but the production done by Padi is a perfect mixture. It’s something that fans of any genre, from K-pop, K-hip hop, or even punk rock can find enjoyment in.

Seventeen Announces The Group’s Comeback

This past weekend in Korea was Seventeen’s annual fan meeting, affectionately called Carat Land. At this, the members spent time playing games and performing fan favorite songs, such as ‘DON QUIXOTE’ and ‘Aju Nice,’ the latter of which is also known by its English title ‘Very Nice.’ It was a fun day for fans and members alike, each of the three-day affairs spanning almost four hours each night. During one particular heartfelt moment shared between the group and their beloved Carats, which is what their fanbase is called, it was revealed that they will be releasing their next album in April. “We’re proud of our work,” the members said during the grand reveal, “we promise it will be a month to remember.” We don’t know about you, our beloved Hive, but we are definitely looking forward to April showers as we know they bring May flowers and a Seventeen comeback.
