Hey, you! Yes, you, we need your attention on this important matter. The ‘Year 3000’ prophecy is coming true for the Jonas Brothers! In case you’re wondering what the ‘Year 3000’ prophecy is, we will catch you up. Off their first album, It’s About Time, ‘Year 3000’ has this iconic lyrical bridge: “I took a trip to the year 3000. This song had gone multi-platinum. Everybody bought our seventh album. It had outsold Kelly Clarkson.” Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas are achieving greatness in 2023 which was set in stone back in 2006 with the release of their 7th album. We don’t need to take a trip to the year 3000 to know the significance of this album to the Jonas Brothers and their fans. The Jonas Brothers’ highly anticipated sacred 7th studio album, The Album, is out on May 12th.
Okay, so there is a lot of debate about whether or not The Album is the 6th or 7th album.
Nick says it’s the 6th. Kevin said it is the 7th album as V was an album that was exclusively released to fans. Joe Jonas, in typical Joe fashion, said he doesn’t know. However, according to fans and Kevin it is the 7th album. We at THP, absolutely agree with Kevin and the rest of the Jonas Brothers fandom on that.
The Album Is Going To Be Phenomenal
Already we have an idea of what type of groovy pop-rock sound The Album will be presenting to the world upon its release. The lead singles off The Album, ‘Wings’ and ‘Waffle House’ are taking over social media, the radio, and Spotify playlists.
‘Wings‘ as the first single set the tone for their return. Is the song about their significant others or their fans? Perhaps it’s a bit of both.
It’s a great way to reintroduce the Jonas Brothers as a band making their return with an album since 2019.
‘Waffle House‘ as the second single transports us back in time as the brothers recall their nostalgia of working through life’s ups and downs together to make their dreams possible.
These songs are filled with groovy rhythms, simple storytelling that anyone can relate to, and proving to be timeless. We, just like many fans, have been enjoying how the Jonas Brothers are continuing to make personal songs that bring us into their lives. Meanwhile, both ‘Wings’ and ‘Waffle House’ are open to various interpretations to allow the listeners to apply them to their lives, memories, and future scenarios.
