If you don’t know our faves, mxmtoon, Ricky Montgomery and Cavetown have teamed up for the ultimate collab, that is, ‘Nobody Loves Me.’
So, ‘Nobody Loves Me’ first started up with an initial collab between Cavetown and Ricky, called ‘Paris Song,’ but then over time, Maia (mxmtoon) joined, and the track became what it is now, which is a masterpiece. ‘Nobody Loves Me’ centers around forgetting you’re loved, and Cavetown describes it best, “Eventually, the song turned into a kind of ballad about having no object permanence around love, as in if you’re not currently being shown love, you may forget that you are.” well said! We think Maia’s first verse pretty much tells us what the track is revolving around, especially the lyrics, “Learning how to be a one-man show / Doesn’t mean you want to.”
And now that we are talking about lyrics, we are in love with the lines “I don’t need you, I want you like a garden wants a poppy,” “Silent space inside my head /
A room that needs a redo,” as well as “Nothing helps when nobody loves me.” We honestly just love everything about the track: the different vocals throughout, as well as a couple of besties collabing.
Awe, don’t they just look so cute! If you agree, we think you should give the track a listen if you haven’t already, you can stream it. It’s probably our favorite collab as of yet. Wait, wait, wait, before you go, you can see the three, along with grentperez, on tour very, very soon.
