Have we expected this many non-group releases from Monsta X in half a year? No, but we are not complaining! How could we, when no matter what the members do, it always turns into a masterpiece? That is what we’re calling the very first unit of the group, SHOWNU X HYUNGWON.

The duo formation came as a surprise, and we knew we’d love their music even before it was released. And guess what? We were right! As expected (and hoped), we got Hyungwon working his producing magic on two tracks of the mini-album. That includes the title track ‘Love Me A Little,’ which we can’t get enough of. Also, we have Shownu, who put his dancing talents into perfecting the choreography, which is a real scene stealer. Now combine their enthralling voices, and you have the perfect final result, THE UNSEEN.

Can’t Stop Loving Them More Than A Little

We know the music Monsta X creates as a group, and it’s incredible. It has three of its members constantly contributing to that sound. We already heard how JOOHONEY and I.M‘s solos diversify from the group’s color, and now, we get to witness how Hyungwon creates a song for his duet with fellow groupmate and leader Shownu.

‘Love Me A Little’ gives us a sexy vibe thanks to its melody and the overall dark atmosphere of the music video, combined with the smooth dance. Guess we’ll just accept our fate and be addicted to this track. SHOWNU X HYUNGWON gave us a mature song with an addictive chorus, and our eyes and ears are glued to them.

Monbebe, make sure to check out the b-sides on THE UNSEEN as well because the whole album is full of musical gems. We might be naming ‘Love Therapy’ and ‘Roll With Me’ as our favorites, the second one also having Hyungwon in its credits. Coincidence? We think not. We admit we’re fans of his producing and writing skills. Who wouldn’t be?

Also, be sure we’re constantly playing ‘Play Me’ and ‘Slow Dance,’ too. After all, favorites don’t mean we neglect the rest of the music when it’s this wonderful. Each track has its own unique moments that we love and just need to hear over and over. Having SHOWNU X HYUNGWON sing to us while we go with our daily life routine sounds THAT good.
