Hailing from the small town of Ferndale in South Wales, Otto Aday has boomed into our view with this latest release, and we could not be happier. ‘Star Crossed Lovers’ is an infectious song that takes us on the most cinematic journey that could spark joy even in the most drearier of days. Otto Aday took inspiration from a real encounter for ‘Star Crossed Lovers,’ and it all started when he was dressed up as the legendary Charlie Chaplin for Halloween.
On Halloween, I went to York dressed as Charlie Chaplin. I was in a hostel, and this young American lady came down the staircase and said, “Oh my God, I love Charlie Chaplin!” It turned out she had travelled to England for a screenwriting internship. We hit it off from the word go and went on an adventure across the UK. We stumbled across an old cathedral and I whisked her away to a fantasy-like village where every house is a bookstore. The moments we spent felt timeless and suspended in midair, maybe that’s why I liken her to the stars. It blossomed into a beautiful friendship; I definitely love her in some sense. I’m immortalizing the relationship in the song.

Otto Aday also blessed us with a music video for ‘Star Crossed Lovers,’ too! It’s a visual delight that flicks between captivating close-ups to scenic shots that fit perfectly with the gorgeous glow the song emanates. We genuinely cannot stop watching this! Isn’t it just so wonderful?
