Another year done and dusted. Can you believe it? And, oh boy, what a year 2023 has been, especially for our favorite pink sock-wearing legend, YUNGBLUD!
Dom has made us ‘Happier’ than ever with his endeavors this year. To celebrate him and all things YUNGBLUD, we’ll be taking a look back at everything that’s happened with him in 2023!
The Live Shows
Obviously, when we think of YUNGBLUD this year, our minds immediately go to the live shows and the world tour. Can you believe he did over 120 shows this year?! That’s mental!
Dom took on arenas for his world tour, kicking it off in Cardiff, Wales, all the way back in February. It was the first time he took to arenas, and oh boy, did he fill them! We were lucky enough to witness YUNGBLUD live on his world tour, and we were in absolute awe of it all.
From singing, while sitting atop a toilet to rain pouring over him while a story was told, this tour had it all.
Dom impressed us and made us proud to an unbelievable degree with this tour. Our favorite Doncaster-born legend has made moves this year, and we’re so excited to be able to see him shine more and more!
The Music
We need to dive in and enjoy the music releases of 2023 because where would we be without some fresh YUNGBLUD songs in our playlists? We’re forever grateful that Dom keeps us fed with new releases regularly!
‘Movin’ On Up’
It’s always such a delight when we see YUNGBLUD covering other artists’ songs, and this cover with BNXN of Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up‘ made us so happy! The collaboration arrived with the announcement that YUNGBLUD was added to the Coke Studio 2023 lineup!
‘Lowlife’
Do you remember the ‘Lowlife’ cars that YUNGBLUD had us visit to hear the song? What a way to start a new era!
‘Lowlife’ blew our minds and proudly became a title in our social media bios when we first heard it back in June, and another exciting bit of it all is that YUNGBLUD gave us two music videos for it!
We loved watching Dom stomp around drunk in the first ‘Lowlife’ music video with those Johnny Depp Willy Wonka-esque goggle glasses.
And then we got to see him with his mini-me in the second ‘Lowlife’ music video as they took on the iconic Camden Town in London.
Which music video is your favorite?
‘Hated’
After almost anxiously teasing ‘Hated’ on a live, YUNGBLUD made our jaws drop when we first heard the song in full back in August. A raw, emotionally-driven song that immediately speaks of a moment of trauma in childhood, it’s one that certainly sticks with us. We didn’t think we could be more proud of Dom, but then he spoke out his truth in these lyrics. We love you, Dom!
‘Happier’
We’re still not over this one. Freshly served by YUNGBLUD and Oli Sykes in November, ‘Happier’ is an anthem that yells exactly how we feel right back at us. It’s such a relatable song, and we’ll never grow tired of seeing YUNGBLUD and Oli Sykes unite to make music. The ‘Happier’ music video is also such a fun watch and one of our favorite YUNGBLUD music videos to date!
The Award
There’s no way we were going to look back at the year and not acknowledge the award! YUNGBLUD won the Live Act Award at the first-ever Rolling Stones UK Awards. Well deserved is an understatement!
Live music and live playing is everything to me. It’s all I ever wanted to do. I just want to connect with people and find a family that is my f***ing own.

We really could talk about Dom’s incredible ability to put on an insane live show all day. Every single YUNGBLUD live show is perfection, and no one will ever change our minds about that!
The Fan Adoration
Year after year, we are constantly reminded as YUNGBLUD fans just how much Dom adores us, and 2023 was no different. If you’re lucky enough to end up at a YUNGBLUD show, you’ll witness the adoration he has for us fans.
Not only that, but he always expresses how much he appreciates us wherever he can. YUNGBLUD has a huge heart, and the Black Hearts Club will always have a place in it.
