The new year has already been off to a fire start for none other than Ms. Reneé Rapp! With the release of Mean Girls right around the corner on January 12th, it’s no surprise we’re getting gift after gift from both Reneé and her alter ego, Regina George. From the moment we heard about this new movie adaption of the beloved classic and successful Broadway Musical we’ve been thinking about the official recording of ‘World Burn’ it would bring with it. And oh my god the wait was beyond worth it. Not that anyone was shocked — we all remember the way Reneé ate this song up on the Broadway stage every night when she performed it. But this rendition? It’s new, it’s slower, moodier, and owns all of our hearts.

The official Mean Girls soundtrack is out everywhere on January 12th with the film’s release. And with it comes so many other bangers that already know we’re going to have on repeat. It features renditions of other favorites from the Broadway Musical like ‘Revenge Party’ and ‘Someone Gets Hurt.’ Not to mention new songs that Reneé helped write as well.

And you might be wondering, what will the brand new bangers for the film sound like? Well thankfully we already have one at our fingertips, and it’s equally powerful and jaw-dropping video to go with it. ‘Not My Fault’ by Reneé Rapp featuring Megan Thee Stallion officially dropped in late December of last year. And it’s the perfect sassy Regina George number we were hoping for.

We already mentioned how iconic this video is, but obviously, we need to talk about it too! This video was crafted in Mean Girls heaven, truly. We can’t decide if we’re more obsessed with the dance numbers, the sassy camera looks, or just the entire essence of Reneé and Megan in this video as a whole. Either way, we’ve watched this video so many times that the total watch count is remaining a secret between our YouTube history and ourselves. How could you blame us though?

How absolutely pumped are you for the release of Mean Girls on January 12th?
