There’s nothing that Charli XCX can do wrong, especially when it comes to writing and producing the greatest dance club songs you’ve ever heard. We grew up listening to ‘Boom Clap’ and now we’ve graduated to more mature bops like ‘Von dutch’ and ‘Speedrive.’ They’re definitely all amazing in their own ways, but we may secretly have our favorites🫣. Her two latest releases, ‘Club classics/B2b’ are everything we didn’t know we needed from her. They’re coming on the heel of brat, Charli’s highly anticipated new album dropping June 7.
If we were in the Boiler Room with Charli XCX and her crew, these are the ten songs of hers we’d want to hear the most.
‘Club classics/B2b’
We had to start with the more obvious. Title aside, ‘Club classics/B2b’ is that girl and the only song we need to hear in the club ever again. The beat is infectious and simply so hard not to dance to. Since these tracks came out we’ve been singing “back to back to back to back to you” and have a giddy little pep in our step.
Turn down the lights, grab a fun drink, and let the disco ball shine on you all night long, baby!🪩
‘Crash’
No pun intended, we’d crash any room Charli is in just to be near her. This song and the entire CRASH album go hard and might just be Charli’s best work. For Halloween, we plan on recreating the album cover art and maybe even show up to the club wearing the same fit 🤭.
‘Vroom Vroom’
Arguably the most iconic Charli XCX song, ‘Vroom Vroom’ would make the club go crazy. Imagine screaming “Cute, sexy and my ride’s sporty, (Vroom, vroom) Those slugs know they can’t catch me, (Vroom, vroom) Beep, beep, so let’s ride” with a bunch of people under a disco ball. Iconic, right?
‘Speed Drive’
You thought we would include ‘Vroom Vroom’ and not talk about ‘Speed Drive?’ In our minds, these songs are like sisters, interconnected and part of the same universe. Get in loser, we’re pulling up to the club fashionably late and in a bright pink sports car.
‘The Von dutch Remix with Addison Rae & A.G. Cook’
Our latest Charli XCX obsession is the ‘Von dutch’ remix with none other than princess Addison Rae. We now know that Addison will be opening for Charli on her upcoming brat tour, and we are so excited to see her hit the stage! “Ahhhhhhhhh”
‘Baby’
Grab your bae and get to dancing! This song is for couples, and couples only. If you’re single, don’t worry DJ Charli will be taking care of you soon. Even if you don’t have a boo to dance with, you can make anyone on that dancefloor your “baby” 👀.
‘Yuck’
Singles, it’s your turn! When we look at the men around us on the dancefloor, we say “yuck” and run away to be with our girls. Grab your best friends, put on the most confident fit, sip some liquid courage, and own that dancefloor! When DJ Charli plays ‘Yuck’ you’ve got all eyes on you.
‘Claws’
No, we could never forget about ‘Claws.’ This song is everything we need and more when we are getting ready to go out on a Friday night. Glittery makeup on with the highest platform heels is when we feel most like ourselves, which is definitely the vibe that ‘Claws’ is giving.
‘1999’ feat. Troye Sivan
When we think about the two people we’d want to go clubbing with, we think of Troye Sivan and Charli XCX. Luckily their collaborations never fail and ‘1999’ is already on our pregame playlist. These two artists never fail to make the most infectious dance music and when we get to the DJ booth, we’ll be requesting this hit again and again.
‘Doing It’ feat. Rita Ora
An oldie but a goldie, ‘Doing It,’ makes us want to get up from our couches and run around the town! We love that Charli decided to collaborate with Rita Ora on this song and we can’t wait for the two to continue collaborating in the future.
