ATINY, are you ready?! No? Good, because we’re not either. The build-up to the announcement of ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 and its title track ‘Lemon Drop’ should’ve given us plenty of time to prepare, but actually, it’s just got us more flustered now. Especially after seeing those concept pics…
We’re trying to collect ourselves ahead of the impending release, so here’s everything we know about ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 so far!
The GOLDEN HOUR Series
Following Golden Hour: Part.1 and Part.2, ATEEZ is back with Part.3. Will this conclude a trilogy? Who knows, but what we do know is that this has been one of ATEEZ’s most successful series ever, and we’re confident Part.3 will live up to that. The previous instalments showcased the group’s versatility, mixing their quintessential intensity and charisma with dreamy and emotional ballads. Theme-wise, we’re expecting this to continue ATEEZ’s story of youth, ambition, and self-discovery. It will also 100% break our brains thanks to the intricacies of their lore, so we’re not even gonna go there right now.
GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3
The most important info of all: GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 releases on at 1 PM KST, 12 AM ET, 5 AM BST on Friday, June 13th. The mini-album consists of five tracks, and our rapline, Hongjoong and Mingi, have writing credits on every single one! These are our thoughts on the preview, and then you can check it out for yourself below.
- ‘Lemon Drop’ – The title track, and we’ve got more thoughts on that one later on…
- ‘Masterpiece’ – We’re going to be immediately adding this to our party playlists. And by “party” we mean dancing in our room on our own. We’re already obsessed with Jongho and Yunho’s playful vocals.
- ‘Now this ain’t a home’ – How did we go from partying to crying already? And on top of all that emotion, we get a Yeosang chorus?!
- ‘Castle’ – ATEEZ have to hit us with an 80s synthpop anthem every comeback, and this seems to be the one for GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3.
- ‘Bridge: The Edge of Reality’ – They’re scaring us with their lore again! The bridge to what?!
‘Lemon Drop’
Well, this is about to be song of the summer, isn’t it? Seonghwa on the single cover sent us to oblivion, and then we had to survive all of ATEEZ in the ‘Lemon Drop’ MV teaser. We love the house influence we’re getting already, and we think it suits as a follow-up to ‘WORK’ and ‘Ice On My Teeth’ so well! Hongjoong says ‘Lemon Drop’ will be equal parts sexy and refreshing, but so far we’re only getting one of those…
