If you know K-Pop, you’ve heard the name Jackson Wang. His unique presence leaves a lasting impression on anyone, including us. From the first time we saw this man, we knew there was something special about him, and he hasn’t disappointed us since. His passion, talent, and genuine love of life inspire us every day, and we feel like we’ve learned a lot from him since the beginning of his career. So, we thought today we could talk about some of the things the Magic Man himself has taught us over the years.
Don’t Be Afraid To Try New Things
From Olympic fencer to K-Pop idol to designer to entrepreneur, Jackson Wang has never been afraid of trying new things and branching out, and that’s one of the best approaches to life one could possibly have. Starting over can be scary, but that’s no reason to stop yourself from doing it, and Jackson is living proof of that.
Honesty Is Always The Best Policy
One of Jackson Wang’s most defining traits is how honest and open he is with everyone. He’s stated multiple times that what he is in front of cameras is what he is behind them, and how much he values being honest about who he is with his fans. And we can tell that it works wonders. Jackson’s honesty strengthens his relationships, and we’re inspired by it every day. We also can’t help but remember the time he said he’s “not a Rubik’s cube,” in the sense that he can’t give people exactly what they want; he can only give what he is, and we think that’s a great philosophy to have in life.
Hard Work Pays Off
We all know Jackson’s extroverted personality, his quick wit, and insane talent, but we always feel like it’s important to point out that in order for all of that to exist, there’s so much hard work behind it. Jackson went to Korea with no previous dance or singing experience and still became one of the most recognizable idols of the third generation. Furthermore, he’s expanded his work far beyond music, always bringing that same diligence and passion with him, which is why he’s been so successful in every area. We also can’t help but mention the fact that this man speaks five languages. It’ll never stop to amaze us how he does it, and we can only hope to achieve that one day as well.
Humor Makes Life Easier
Jackson Wang is easily one of the funniest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with. The Magic Man can get a laugh out of anyone he comes in contact with, and it visibly puts people at ease around him. Beyond that, humor makes it easier to relate to people, and it builds connection, which is something Jackson clearly values. And seeing how he still has this great sense of humor even after all the hard moments gives us the certainty that at the end of the day, we’ll be fine as long as we keep our heads up.

A.k.a it’s okay to impose limits. During the promo for MAGIC MAN II, Jackson talked many times about the song ‘GBAD’ and what made him come to the conclusion that sometimes it’s okay to become the villain in someone else’s story in order to protect our peace. We don’t know about you, but we definitely needed to hear that one. And every time it comes up on our playlists, it puts a smile on our face when we’re reminded that “life is great, just gotta be a d*ck sometimes”.
In conclusion, there’s so much we can learn from our favorite artists, and we’re so glad to have Jackson Wang as a part of that list. We can only hope to spend many more years being able to admire his work and his personality.
