Ever listened to a song and said to yourself, “Oh my gosh, this is so SICK!” We have! If we’re being honest, we think every song Nessa Barrett makes is a total slay. Let’s be real. Has she ever made a song that wasn’t a banger? The answer is no!
We’re happy to report that ‘sick of myself’ has kept her streak going. An electric explosion of fresh pop beats (created by the amazing Whethan) perfectly accompanies Nessa’s signature sultry tone and thoughtful lyrics, making this our new favorite collab!

Pulling inspiration from vintage TV and channeling her inner peak-Baywatch Pamela Anderson, Nessa stunned us once again with her incredible visuals. Beginning in a dimly lit room, dressed in a hospital gown (and flawless hair,) Nessa watches multiple versions of herself in various television programs. We’ve got a beach scene, a 1950s-inspired dinner ad, and our personal favorite: a Western. She really took Baby Cowboy to a new level with that one!
Nessa finished the video getting sucked into TV land and revealed the room was, in fact, her on display as a former celebrity. That was an ending we definitely didn’t see coming. Creative and captivating as always, this is one you’ll want to watch again and again.

We’ll be the first to admit we’ve had ‘sick of myself’ by Nessa Barrett on repeat since the second it dropped. We already knew some of the words thanks to Nessa’s teasing on social media, but we weren’t prepared for this lyrical masterpiece! Here are some of our favorite lines we’ll never get sick of.
“Your personality’s nice can I try it on?”
This one can really hit hard for those who might struggle with finding their own identity. When you’re unsure who to be or how to act, it can sometimes be tempting to mirror those around you and wear someone else’s personality as your own. At the end of the day, we must remember it’s just a mask, and there’s only one you. Own it!
“Regret it all when I open my mouth. Should sew it up and never let it out”
We’ve all been there. The words come out before we even have time to stop them, and then we’re filled with regret. People tell you to speak your mind (and they’re right!), but they never tell you how difficult it really can be. Or worse! When it all spills out as word vomit, and you feel like it would have been better left unsaid. Uh, ‘sick of myself’ is making a lot more sense now!

We might be cheating with this one, but we’re putting the entire chorus! It’s so catchy and infectious… haha get it? Most of all, it’s so real! Some days, we’re over everything (and all those silly boys), and we’re ready to throw it all away and get a fresh start as someone else!
