“Understand that we didn’t come to play, babe.” Okay, XG, we’re listening! J-Pop rookies and soon-to-be-your-favorite girl group, XG have already hit 10 million views on the music video for their debut single, ‘Tippy Toes.’
‘Tippy Toes’ is an aggressive, powerful statement from the 7-piece girl group, who debuted less than a month ago. We love to see any rookies come out the gate this strong, but when we see seven women confidently addressing the audience, and staking their claim as idols and pop stars on literal day one, we simply have to stan.
XG, which stands for Xtraordinary Girls (as it should), is made up of members Chisa, Cocona, Harvey, Hinata, Juria, Jurin, and Maya. All seven are extraordinarily (Xtraordinarily?) talented, not to mention they give us stunning visuals.
‘Tippy Toes’ is honestly one of the best debut tracks in years. We love the hip-hop and R&B influences. But even more so, we love that it’s so catchy, fun, and empowering! Now, it has quite rightly hit 10 million YouTube views in less than a month, which is a huge deal for a rookie group from a brand new label! And if that wasn’t enough, the girls have been well and truly spoiling us with videos. Not only did we get MV teasers of each member before they even debuted, we’ve now got two dance practices and a choreography version of the MV, too!
Plus, as a thank you for getting it to 10 million views (as if we don’t wanna watch it 24/7 anyway), XG gave us the behind the scenes of the ‘Tippy Toes’ music video! We love seeing more of their personalities, and getting to know our new favorite idols!
