The time has finally come, twenty-nine years after Hocus Pocus premiered, Hocus Pocus 2 is going to give a whole new generation the chance to experience the Sanderson Sisters. It’s always a gamble, to bring a sequel into the mix when the original film is one of the most beloved films of all time, but based on the trailer, (see below) Hocus Pocus 2 will be a treat for fans old and new.
We could hardly believe that the OG three were making their return as the Sanderson Sisters, and seeing these incredible actresses back on screen as our favorite witches is bringing us right back to childhood. Aside from Bette, Sarah, and Kathy, we are also getting the return of Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson!
Hocus Pocus 2 will be gracing our screens on September 30th, just in time to be added to our Disney+ Halloween rotation! It makes us here at THP so incredibly happy that younger people are going to get to grow up with their own Sanderson Sisters story in the way that we did with the OG film. We got our love of all things spooky from the world of Hocus Pocus!
