It’s that time again, New Music Weekly is back with an absolutely killer lineup!
Francis Karel – ‘Small Talk’
We’re starting New Music Weekly off perfectly with ‘Small Talk.’ Francis Karel has the voice of an angel, and on top of that is able to write music with such honesty, the ultimate recipe for success. If you love ‘Small Talk’ as much as we do, you’re in luck! Francis Karel is releasing his debut EP, Handle With Care, on August 26th!

Liz Cass – ‘Shaken’
Liz Cass is an artist you all need to keep your eyes on! We sensed big things for her with ‘Human,’ but ‘Shaken’ has shown us how right we were. You get so many incredible vocal moments from Liz, and you get a masterclass in making pop music, what more could you ask for?

Linn Cervell – Introspection Collection
We’ve got a four-track EP from Linn Cervell to discuss on this week’s New Music Weekly! While listening to Introspection Collection, we couldn’t help but think about how Linn gives off Bridgit Mendler vibes, they have very similar tones to their voices (which couldn’t be a higher compliment, Bridgit is a pop icon). Our favorite track off of the EP has to be ‘The Show’ what a triumph of a project, enough to make anyone a fan for life.

Dreamer Boy – ‘HUES’
Let us be clear, ‘HUES’ is never being taken off of our repeat cycle. ‘HUES’ lives in this world of dreamlike pop music that we can never get enough of. We are begging at this point for a full-length album full of tracks with this vine, it’s a need, not just a want.

Head Ballet – Suddenly It’s Making Sense
Indie-dream-pop is a subgenre we could live happily in forevermore, and Head Ballet fits right in there beautifully. What Head Ballet has done with Suddenly It’s Making Sense is make a flaw-free EP. Every song feels so expertly crafted, clearly such a labor of love.
Our highlight is ‘Beachgrass’ which will be backing so many night trips to the beach this summer.

Catie Turner – ‘Step Mom’
Catie Turner has never put out a song that wasn’t a straight-up masterpiece, so we knew going in we were going to love ‘Step Mom.’ What we didn’t know was that we were going to leave this listening session with a new favorite Catie Turner song, somehow she just keeps coming into her own more as an artist, and keeps getting better and better.

Bazzi – ‘Miss America’
We are obsessed with the genre of pop that Bazzi has perfected, that alt-pop, almost RnB/ The Weeknd-ish sub-genre. ‘Miss America’ isn’t the overly upbeat, summer song we thought it was going to be, rather it’s vocally one of the highest points in Bazzi’s discography, with a beat that you want to just vibe to.

Two Friends & Mod Sun – ‘Timebomb’
It’s a no-brainer! If Two Friends and Mod Sun are teaming up, you’re about to have a damn good time listening to that song! We have officially found a new song to add to all of our summer party playlists with ‘Timebomb.’ ‘Timebomb’ makes for the perfect meeting of musical minds.

Big Time Rush – ‘Honey’
Any New Music Weekly that features Big Time Rush is automatically superior. ‘Honey’ is such an upbeat, perfect summer track. With the Forever Tour just kicking off, we know that we are going to see so many videos of the guys performing ‘Honey’ live and we can hardly wait!

Daya – ‘Love You When You’re Gone’
To wrap up New Music Weekly, we have Daya! Daya is sharing ‘Love You When You’re Gone,’ as the first single off of her upcoming EP, and in typical Daya fashion, it’s beyond incredible. We are getting a bit of a throwback to music from the ’80s with the backing music, ‘Love You When You’re Gone’ is IT!
