We’ve Got Dance Fever From Florence + The Machine Live at MSG

Since its release in May, we’ve been dancing the summer away with Florence + The Machine and their album Dance Fever. And lucky us, because the good vibes will continue through the fall! They’ve just dropped their new live album Dance Fever (Live at Madison Square Garden). At the iconic venue, the band have brought the album to life and now we get to remember this tour forever!

Dance Fever was produced by Florence, Jack Antonoff, and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals – and with a group of talents like that, you know the album is going to go off, especially live. The energy flowing through the live performances is tangible throughout the album. The excitement of the crowd and the pulsing instrumentals heard on the tracks transport you right into the room at MSG with Florence and the band.

Florence spoke about the reason it was so important to write this through lockdown and to record this live album. Here are a few thoughts she’s shared:

For an album that was so much about performance, the possession of it, the love-hate relationship with life on the road. And the ensuing grief when I thought it may never happen again. To get out to perform these songs has been the most extraordinary experience. The connection with the audience and the catharsis is at a level I have never experienced before.
