It takes a lot to make us speechless, but New Rules has done it with their newest track, ‘Late In The Evening.’ Every release this band has given us has been mind-blowingly goosebumps-inducing, but something about this new song has completely shattered us (in the best way possible)! A song about desperately trying to win someone back, written like poetry and performed from the soul, showcasing all the best parts of a song.

We’re not sure exactly what it is about this song that feels so otherworldly. Maybe it’s the chilling, flawless harmonies or the ethereal way the lyrics flow through every fiber of our being, but all we know for sure is that this song is such an exquisite masterpiece that it deserves a spot in the Louvre.

Before you stream the single, there are a few rules that you need to follow in order to get the full ‘Late In The Evening’ experience. Lucky for you, we have compiled the five rules here so that we can help you prepare!

1. You MUST Have Tissues Nearby

Trust us, you WILL cry, and we want you to be prepared for every emotion to hit you all at once! Even if you just need something to cover your mouth with so you can scream silently about how amazing the song is, tissues can help with that as well!

2. You MUST Set The Mood

You need your atmosphere to reflect the mood of the song. So create ambiance in the form of mood lighting, or use your current surroundings to your advantage. For example, lie in the dark with headphones in and stare at the ceiling, go outside with headphones in during sunset, at nighttime while staring at the stars, or go outside during the daytime with a nice breeze blowing through your hair. The possibilities are endless here – you just have to pick your favorite and have at it!

3. You MUST Listen On Repeat At Least 400 Trillion Times

This one is a given because after you hear it the first time, you’ll be addicted and not be able to turn it off. But in case you needed a reminder, this is rule No. 3! So be prepared to spend every waking moment engulfed in this song and stream it until your heart is content.

4. You MUST Make Everyone Around You Also Listen To It

You are going to fall in love with this song and want to share it with everyone you know. That’s why this is rule No. 4! Airdrop it to everyone around you, play it over Bluetooth where applicable, take the aux cord in your friend’s car and play it repeatedly, share it on social media – whatever you have to do to get the song out to the world and as many people as possible!
