We’ve got a good one for you today, friends! We’re letting you into a sneak peek behind the scenes of Zach Braff’s upcoming film A Good Person. The movie is beautifully presented by Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman and upcoming powerhouse Florence Pugh alongside a brilliant supporting cast. Before it hits cinemas next week, let’s take a look behind the scenes to get us excited!
So what’s the film about? Florence Pugh plays a bright young woman called Allison, who is involved in a horrific accident that takes the life of the daughter of Daniel (played by Morgan Freeman.) Together they have to navigate the aftermath and their feelings and learn how to move on with their lives as Daniel tries to figure out how to raise his teen Granddaughter and Allison has to come to terms with the accident, seeking her redemption. Throughout the film, both characters “discover that friendship, forgiveness, and hope can flourish in unlikely places.”
The Featurette
We can’t imagine how we’re going to feel watching the film because this featurette has already got us feeling emotional. These two leads are both known for their ability to act with emotion and nuance, and both have a track record of putting us straight into our feelings. You know it’s good acting, scriptwriting, and directing when you are left feeling introspective and impacted by the art. This is how we feel about this featurette, so when we see A Good Person in its entirety, we have a feeling this is going to stay with us for a long time. Fear not, though; the film is not entirely gloom and introspection. We are also going to be gifted with Morgan Freeman’s impeccable comedic timing as well as being provided a few laughs by Pugh. Zach Braff, the writer and director, has been a part of some amazing comedic projects before he put his director’s hat on, including the beloved TV comedy, Scrubs. We knew he wouldn’t leave it entirely behind! After all, this movie is about life and love, and what is that without laughter?
The film also features incredibly talented actors such as Molly Shannon, Chinaza Uche, and Celeste O’Connor. You are not going to want to miss this one. You can watch the full trailer below:
