One thing about us, we are huge country music fans! There is just something about the storytelling and the honesty that we instantly click with. Thanks to social media (specifically TikTok) there is a whole new class of country music stars coming up, and Ashley Cooke is among the best of them! We’ve been hooked on Ashley’s music ever since twenty-twenty-one when she released ‘Under.’ Ashley Cooke has all the makings of the next big thing, we see a similar spark in her that we see in our favorite singer-songwriters like Kelsea Ballerini and Taylor Swift.
We are just over a week out from shot in the dark, Ashley’s upcoming album’s release date and we already know it’s about to become our entire personality. From the snippet of ‘moving on with grace’ that we haven’t been able to stop rewatching to the fact that the record is twenty-four (!!) tracks long and is going to provide us with a plethora of new songs to digest, we don’t know what has us more excited!
Ahead of the release of shot in the dark Ashley Cooke has just released two more singles, ‘enough to leave’ and ‘your place’ which show such immense talent both vocally and lyrically. Both tracks play on different elements of vulnerability, and show that there’s simply not a single emotion Ashley can’t channel in her songwriting. We already know that we are about to have so many more songs to dissect and fall in love with.
Ashley Cooke is THE one to watch.
