There are few things we love more than going behind the scenes and seeing how our favorite releases were created. And we have yet another installment of that on the way. On October 23rd, we’ll get the chance to see the making of BTS Jimin’s solo debut mini-album, FACE, through his upcoming documentary, Jimin’s Production Diary.
We’re already shaking with excitement and can’t wait to see what’s in store for us. And while we re-listen to FACE for the nth time, we’re also already making a list of things we would love to see…
The Behind-the-scenes of the Choreographies
It’s no news to anyone that Jimin is one of the best dancers in the industry. His skills are on a whole other level, and watching him dance always makes us feel lucky to live the same lifetime as him. ‘Like Crazy’ but especially ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’ have absolutely insane choreographies, and it would be amazing to see the behind-the-scenes. It would be a new way to highlight his skills as a dancer. Watching Jimin dancing is always something we cherish; seeing the process, watching him in his element, would be everything to us.
Live Versions of the B-Sides
As much as we love the singles off of FACE, we obviously have a special space for the b-sides in this album. Because this mini-album doesn’t have a single skip. ‘Face-off,’ ‘Alone,’ and the hidden track ‘Letter,’ blow us away every single time. It would be amazing to see some type of performance of either of these songs. We truly believe they deserve as much love as the rest of the songs in this perfect mini-album.
Jimin’s Artistry
Yes, this is quite general, but it is ultimately what we’re the most excited about. Going from working in a group such as BTS, to creating a body of work all by himself can never be easy – and Jimin nailed it. If there’s one thing we want to see in this documentary, it is all his ideas and how he eventually came to gift us the masterpiece that is FACE. Regardless of what Jimin eventually chooses to show us in Jimin’s Production Diary, we can’t wait. We’re sure it’s going to be amazing, and it’ll add another layer to one of our favorite releases of 2023.
