We started 2024, meaning we’re only a year away from celebrating BTS’ return from their enlistment! If you’re a real ARMY like us, you have been crossing the days on your calendars and anxiously waiting for our boys to be reunited again. There’s a certain void in our hearts without them 😢, but the Bangtan Bulletin is here with your monthly BTS updates to try and make time move faster! January has brought us a great assortment of content from our seven favorite people. Without further ado, let’s go through what you might have missed this month! 💜
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star Is Complete!
All the episodes of the BTS documentary are out now! The episodes that were released this month focus on their last concerts as a group before their enlistment. The tannies also expressed their feelings about starting/continuing their solo careers with the projects we’ve been enjoying on repeat. If you’re an ARMY and haven’t watched any of the episodes yet, now is the perfect time to binge-watch the whole show and experience BTS’ growth like you’ve never done before! We can guarantee you will laugh and cry, but you will also become more fond of the group and their incredible bond!
V Shows Us His Acting Skills Again With IU’s ‘Love Wins All’
It’s been a hot minute since we saw V taking on his actor role (does anyone else still rewatch Hwarang from time to time?), but we just got blessed with it once more as he became the main star in IU’s music video for her latest single, ‘Love Wins All.’ Let us just say that THERE WAS NOT A DRY EYE IN THP HQ WHEN THIS DROPPED. The video sees a couple (played by IU and V) as they battle to survive in a dystopic world; as they hide, they view the world through a lens that depicts them in a world of serenity and peace in their perfect relationship. The music video is so emotional and beautiful and has honestly been our latest Roman Empire.
Suchwita Is As Sweet As Ever
Another month, another Suchwita episode to keep us going through our missing-Yoongi hours. In January, we were treated to an episode with Jung Yonghwa, a Korean musician and leader of CNBLUE. As usual, it was a lovely sneak peek into Yoongi’s world of music, and we always love his rapport with other artists; “Music has a magical way of taking you back in time.” Even more than that, we loved getting some more details on how SUGA, or to be historically accurate, GLOSS, came to join BIGHIT MUSIC.
BTS Stop Being Photogenic Challenge = Failed
And BTS continues to not let us live peacefully! Throughout January, it feels like we’ve been inundated with magazine covers and promotional shoots! From RM for Samsung to SUGA for Valentino, it’s been relentless! We, of course, have to spotlight V’s cover for Harper’s Bazaar Korea! The shoot is so gorgeous, and ARMYs are still recovering, TBH.
Jungkook Is Officially A Full KOMCA Member, And We’re So Proud!
Even when they’re away, BTS members keep succeeding! This year, Jungkook was one of three idols who became full members of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). KOMCA is an organization that manages the copyright property of domestic lyricists and composers and is the largest in Korea. Songwriters who earn high revenues from the songs they write are chosen as regular members, with KOMCA choosing 30 regular members each year. This makes Jungkook the fourth BTS member to become a regular member, after SUGA, RM, and j-hope.
Get Ready For BORAHAEDON FEST 2024!
You know ARMYs, we’re always thinking about BTS, and we love to meet people who love the group as much as we do! There’s nothing like sharing the love for our favorite boys and enjoying activities created by ARMYs, and that’s why the fan organization UKBTSARMATION has created the BORAHAEDON FEST! This fan-made festival is made up of nine main events that will occur in London and cup sleeve events that will occur throughout Europe. They’re designed to meet the vibes of each BTS member, so they will include some of the favorite things that the tannies love to do. We’ve already scheduled our entire summer to attend these BORAHAEDON FEST events!
