What’s New This Week: Lainey Wilson, Maude Latour, and More!

Valley – ‘Let It Rain’

We are just a few short days away from Valley’s next album, Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden, and we have our final taste of what’s to come with ‘Let It Rain.’ ‘Let It Rain’ is a perfect transitional song, going from the sun soaked energy of summer to fall, we have a feeling this whole album is going to fit beautifully within that vibe.

Hozier – ‘Nobody’s Soldier’

We will never be done talking this Hozier era, may it continue forevermore! We are currently in a time where Hozier is putting out the best work of his career, with the newest offering being Unaired, an extension of the Unreal, Unearth universe! ‘Nobody’s Soldier’ is the current focus track, and has produced our favorite video of this era so far.

Maude Latour – ‘Officially Mine’

As we said last week, Maude Latour is the name that is going to be at the forefront of any and every conversation surrounding the next big thing in the industry. Her album, Sugar Water, absolutely blew us away and has already become a favorite of the year. ‘Officially Mine’ was one of those songs we instantly connected with and have replayed time and time again, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to see it become a focus track.

Pixie Lott – ‘Midnight Trash’

One of our favorite songs of the year getting the acoustic treatment? Yes, please!

When ‘Please Me’ came out we spoke about it being a masterclass in classic pop music, so being able to hear this new live breathed into it, showing that Abigail Barlow can truly do anything is the best surprise.

Surprise, surprise, we are obsessed with the newest Peach Pit song! We bet no one saw that coming! Peach Pit is a band that truly gets better with every release. Neck Deep – ‘Sort Yourself Out’

‘Sort Yourself Out’ has been one of our favorite songs on Neck Deep since the album came out earlier this year, so we love to see the ‘Sort Yourself Out’ justice! This music video really encapsulates what its like to be at a Neck Deep show and immerse yourself in the community they have cultivated.

Lainey Wilson – Whirlwind

We had to add a little country to this round-up! And there is simply no one better than Lainey Wilson, who we feel is currently just taking the music world by storm. We wouldn’t be surprised to see some Lainey Wilson love at the Grammy’s this year, considering what a sonically cohesive, beautifully written, and stunningly vocalized album Whirlwind is.
