We are in the fourth month of 2022, and it has been a musical rollercoaster! As we were recovering from the month of spring coming to us, K-Pop was right by our side. Yes, that means it is time again for your favorite feature to get all things K-Pop comebacks and debuts: THP’s very own K-Pop roundup! March was full of quality, so make sure to check out the comebacks we already covered, such as KINGDOM, NCT DREAM, GI-DLE, MONSTA X Kihyun, ASTRO MOONBIN AND SANHA, STRAY KIDS, KIM WOOSEOK, SUNMI, PARK BOM, CRAVITY, WEEEKLY, MAMAMOO SOLAR, KIM JUNSU, HIGHLIGHT, GOT7 MARK TUAN, PURPLE KISS, GOT7 JACKSON WANG, and GOT7 YUGYEOM.
Now, let’s get into many more amazing comebacks and debuts from March.
March gave us some fantastic debuts this month, and TEMPEST is just one of those but was also the first. ‘Bad News’ is anything but bad news as it is a real upbeat banger that will make you smile for sure! We love to see these boys thrive in the future! Especially our I-Land children!
Cherry Bullet is back with their second mini-album, and they did not disappoint! ‘Love In Space’ is a concept that fits them so incredibly well – it feels magical, bright, and elegant all at the same time. The retro and almost city pop sound to the title track is simply perfect, and the b-sides in Cherry Wish complimented it so well. These girls just get better with every single release, and we’re obsessed!
It’s been a long time coming, but after establishing his own studio, Bang Yongguk finally dropped a new EP! ‘Up’ is the perfect hip hop bop that got us through the month, and it gets us excited for more future releases as Yongguk is finally finished with his military service, so nothing is stopping him from making bops.
We at THP are suckers for emotional spring ballads, and Hong Euijin’s solo debut is just what we needed! Her nostalgic new single, ‘The 8th Spring,’ reminds us of past relationships all those years ago. But we all know spring is the season for new connections and hopeful beginnings, and ‘The 8th Spring’ is such a meaningful debut song for Euijin!
Our queen Ailee is back, and this time, she’s bringing a studio album that’s entirely in English! We don’t know what we did to be blessed by her incredible voice, but we aren’t complaining. The R&B title track ‘Murder On The Dance Floor’ is so addictive, and Ailee absolutely killed that rap verse! I’m Lovin’ Amy is a no-skips album. Bangers only. End of discussion.
KWON EUN BI
‘ESPER’ is to be added to the list of the masterpieces of Universe singles. The song not only serves Eunbi’s vocals amazingly, but it also has an incredibly addictive beat and rhythm. It’s fair to say that Eunbi really never disappoints. And one big highlight of this release is, of course, the music video, which displays a very intriguing storyline inspired by detective stories, and also shows impressive choreography. It was the perfect song to be released as we waited for her first-ever come back next month!
Now, these idols are wild! No, literally! Tan was formed through the survival show Wild Idols and finally made their official debut in March! They drop a banger, let us tell you! ‘Du Du Du’ has so much melody, and the acapella part is giving us EXO, and we are not complaining.
Winner’s Kang Seungyoon dropped his new single ‘Born To Love You,’ and now we’re crying over a bad breakup that we’ve 100% imagined in our heads. Seungyoon’s powerful vocals in this song are unreal, and we can hear his heartbreaking message about wanting a second chance loud and clear. We’ll be adding ‘Born To Love You’ to our feels playlist immediately.
Brave Girls are back with their sixth EP, Thank You! The lead single ‘Thank You,’ and its remix is absolute bops, along with every other song on the mini-album. You know it’s high-quality music when all the B-side tracks are title track material, but we already know that Brave Girls don’t have any bad songs! Do we hear Thank You winning Album of the Year? 👀
All good things do eventually come to an end. Thankfully NU’EST made their way too sudden and hurtful disbandment sound amazing with this ballad that is so full of meaning. We will miss these guys way too much but also can’t help but wish them everything good for their future. NU’EST, we love you.
Our favorite duo TVXQ (aka Tohoshinki), is back with their new Japanese EP, Epitaph, and we’ve been waiting for this one! We’re in love with the different genres of each song on Epitaph, especially the rock song ‘Epitaph ~for the future~’ and the dance track ‘Light My Moon Like THIS.’ After more than 15 years of releasing music, Yunho and Changmin still know how to keep us on our toes with every comeback.
WEi knows how to make the spring refreshing! Ever since last year’s ‘Bye Bye Bye,’ the boys have made it their goal to make catchy and upbeat music! Doesn’t hurt that they look amazing doing it too! We are obsessed with ‘Too Bad’s catchy chorus and are having a great time!
As if this month’s K-Pop releases didn’t make us want to cry enough, Seventeen’s The8 released his new Chinese single, ‘Hai Cheng,’ named after his hometown. This song is about The8’s dreams about returning home and looking at the familiar scenery he’s missed for so long. The8’s soothing vocals, along with his beautiful dance performance, give us goosebumps every time. We could listen to ‘Hai Cheng’ all day (and we will)!
Sound Of Music fans, are you listening? T1419 decided they can show us a new side to them in their new single, which is taking us straight to Austria called ‘Edelweiss.’ Well, we never doubted the boys’ ability to sing, but this proves it even more. This ballad really suits their vocals!
Verivery is finally back after they dropped ‘Trigger’ back in August 2021! We are super hype about their Series O, which has blessed us with a more mature Verivery sound. Well, it seems like ‘O’ follows suit and shows us the r&b side of Verivery with amazing vocals and actually really raw lyrics. We are kind of crying in the club right now.
D-CRUNCH is back with their yearly treat! We might not hear from them often, but when we do, it’s a banger! The boys sound and look great in ‘Addiction.’ We are getting major 2nd gen vibes from this group and we hope we hear from them a lot more often since those vocals are amazing!
OH MY GIRL
Our spring queens are back! Oh My Girl has built up quite the fanbase around them, and you can always trust them to deliver a song that will get us through the hot season. From ‘Nonstop’ to ‘Dun Dun Dance,’ and now ‘Real Love,’ Oh My Girl knows how to deliver an amazing song to kickstart the spring season. If cherry blossom could fit into a song, ‘Real Love’ would be it.
HEIZE is here to break our hearts with this heartwarming ballad dedicated to all the moms out there. This song gave us goosebumps with Heize’s amazing vocals and heartwrenching lyrics. Yes, the tears were streaming down our faces with this one—what a way to end the month.
BAE173 are here to show off their ‘Jaws.’ The MBK group is back, and they are feisty! We love the attitude and have been shouting along and getting that much-needed adrenaline rush from this banger. We would also love to highlight the banger that ‘Annoyed’ is from this album.
We love a good debut! NINE.i are here to serve all the vocals and groove. We are immediately sold on the ‘Parallel Universe’ and can’t wait to join the boys on their journey, which is pretty promising. We are definitely ready to stan!
CIX is finally back to feed us with something of quality. The boys have been concentrating on acting, and we are patiently waiting for a Korean comeback. However, their first full Japanese album is here, and it is hitting! ‘Pinky Swear’ is a fantastic song that shows us everything CIX is good at, Vocals, visuals, and dancing. The perfect spring bop.
Are you as excited as we are for this new Brand New Music boy group to hit the scene? Because with their march pre-release ‘Everybody’ they are promising to be absolutely amazing! We can see their youthfulness, rap, and vocals in this song and are starving for more! April can’t come fast enough.
How did we make it through this month of bangers without collapsing, right? Are we ready for more since April is packed!? Of course! What was your favorite comeback of March? Which one are you most excited about in April? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @TheHoneyPOP!
