ENHYPEN’s eldest member Heeseung is one of our fave 4th Gen vocalists. His ability to adapt his tone to different genres and styles blows our ENGENE minds every day! We simply can’t go on any longer without celebrating his talent in all its wonder, but luckily he gives us plenty of opportunities to do so. Today we’re taking a look at just some of our favorite covers that ENHYPEN’s Heeseung has gifted us over the last couple of years.
Justin Bieber – ‘Off My Face’
We’ve talked about this cover before and guess what? We’ll do it again! We were so lucky to get the live sneak peek of this performance at K.FLEX earlier this year, and even that couldn’t have prepared us for the angelic vocals that Heeseung delivers here. And if somehow that wasn’t enough? We also have this dreamy version with Heeseung vocals and Jay on guitar!
Jason Derulo – ‘Savage Love’
Ok first of all can we talk about how young Heeseung looks here?! It’s so strange to think about how much ENHYPEN have grown (as individuals and as a group) since they debuted just under two years ago! Second, we love how fun this cover is!
Lee Mujin’s Service
What else could possibly be the grand finale on this list?! Appearing on Lee Mujin’s Service, Heeseung blew us away with every single performance that he delivered. Amongst those were covers of ‘Camping Everywhere’ and ‘Secret Garden.’ We love that Heeseung chose this opportunity to introduce more Korean artists to global ENGENE, and of course, his vocals delivered.
Even more than those performances, we adore Heeseung’s spontaneous acapella rendition of Ne-Yo’s ‘So Sick.’ That moment arguably encapsulates the power and smoothness of Heeseung’s voice better than anything else on this list!
