3 New Songs That Make Us Feel Nostalgic

We love a little walk down memory lane in this hive, and some songs make us do just that. Listening to certain tracks just has that effect on us, transporting us to moments we lived years ago. If you enjoy songs that give nostalgia as much as we do, then you’re going to love these new tracks we’ve found by July Crowd, Jonah Kagen, and Homes at Night!

Are you ready, honey? Sit back, relax, and let these songs bring back locked-away memories you haven’t thought about in a while.

‘Intentions’ by July Crowd

There’s something about pop-punk songs that instill a level of nostalgia within us, and ‘Intentions’ is no exception! These Canadian pop-punk legends knew precisely what they were doing when they made this song. July Crowd sends us right back through time to the wondrous days of the late ’90s and early 2000s with ‘Intentions,’ and we’re not complaining one bit.

But that’s not all! Not only does the song itself do that, but the music video is a straight-up blast into those years, too! Do you love it as much as we do?

If you love ‘Intentions,’ keep your ears and eye peeled, honey! July Crowd are set to release their brand new EP, Seat of Your Pants, later this month on July 21st. If you love ‘Intentions’ and pop-punk anthems in general, we know you’re not going to want to miss out on that! We’re counting down the days!

‘The Roads’ by Jonah Kagen

This song gives us nostalgia, but it also hits us hard right in the feels. We’re sure it’ll do the same for you. It’s such a beautiful track from Jonah Kagen. ‘The Roads’ explores those crucial moments where the page turns to a new chapter in the great book of life and all the emotions that come with that.

It’s the culmination of so much heartbreak, growing up, and so much learning.

Jonah Kagen

Paired the acoustic guitar work with the lyrics and Jonah Kagen’s sensational vocals, ‘The Roads’ is perfection through and through. The video matches well, too. It was filmed in a gorgeously scenic part of southern England, The Cotswolds.

Want to hear more Jonah Kagen songs? We highly recommend checking out his EP, georgia got colder, which he released late last year. Once you’ve listened to Jonah Kagen once, there’s no turning back. His music has us hooked!

There’s something about the vocals matched with the alt-rock blend of sounds from Homes at Night that we can’t get enough of. ‘Midwest Summer’ is a gorgeous track that hits us in the heart with its heartfelt lyrics about two lovers reuniting in their hometown in hopes of reigniting a love long lost.
