5SOS Brings The 5 Seconds of Summer Show to The Woodlands!

Although the US leg of The 5 Seconds of Summer Show may be over, we are still reminiscing on our experience there. If you are new here, you may not know that THP only exists because of 5SOS and the way they were being treated by other major publications. 2019 was the year that THP said enough and became what we are today to give a positive platform to our faves and up and coming artists from all genres.

With that in mind, you know we were front and center for this tour and we have the photos to prove it. Read on and let us know if you attended the US leg or have plans to attend future tour dates across the UK and Europe!

Meet Me @ The Altar

Our pop-punk hearts are feeling warm and fuzzy with the fact that 5SOS booked Meet Me @ The Altar to open for them. Edith, Téa, and Ada completely rocked the stage, and we felt tears come to our eyes because we felt so proud of them. Getting the chance to see their career grow over the years has been an honor. From the small stages, opening for a variety of bands, to opening for 5SOS in an outdoor amphitheater has been incredible.

We are so serious when we say MM@TA is one of our favorite bands to come out of the pop punk scene in the last few years.

5SOS Takes The Stage!

Imagine: you are sitting in your seat and it’s 2 minutes before your favorite band comes on stage. You can feel the energy in the room rise and 5SOS finally comes on stage to the crowd going absolutely wild. Phone lights are up and the vibe is contagious. Even if you aren’t a fan, you will be on your feet and ready to dance.

This is how we felt when 5SOS finally took the stage that Saturday night. We felt our breath get taken away as the opening notes of ‘Bad Omens’ played. The 5 Seconds of Summer Show is for the old and the new fans. With a healthy mix of older songs and newer ones, everyone in the crowd will have at least one to sing along to.

About mid-way through the show, 5SOS brings out a massive red dice with six songs that are B-sides or from older albums that they no longer play. Each night the crowd gets to essentially play volleyball and pass it around the crowd. They then have a timer set and the crowd has to get it back on stage by the time the timer turns zero.

For this show, our dice landed on ‘English Love Affair,’ and we want you all to know that we were on the floor in shock as we manifested that it would be that song earlier that day on our way to the venue. You also know that we were “shake, shake, shaking our booty” in the pit to this song. We wanted to say the actual saying, but Google says we have to stay PG on this website. 🥲

Conclusion

The 5 Seconds of Summer Tour is for the fans! Both new and older fans will love this show as it is a true embodiment of 5SOS and how much we all have grown together. Even though the US leg of the tour is over, we will forever be thinking of this day and the experience we had with all of our fellow fans.
