Unforgettable Moments From Korea On Stage In London

What better way to celebrate 140 years of Korean and UK relations than with some live music? This year, organizers My Music Taste teamed up with KBS for a star-studded night full of iconic music at London’s OVO Arena in Wembley. And trust us, it was unforgettable. Back-to-back performances for four hours, surprise appearances, collaborations, covers of everyone’s favorite British hits, and iconic stages. So much happened, and we have so much to talk about. So, let’s recap some of the night’s most unforgettable moments from each performer at Korea on Stage.

Yageum Yageum

The show began with Yaegum Yageum seated in the center of the extended stage, playing the traditional Korean instrument, the gayageum. She quickly won the hearts of the entire audience with her medley of hit K-pop songs that had the audience singing along. Everything from BTS, New Jeans, and IVE. She truly set the scene for the night and got everyone involved, which was an unforgettable experience.

XIKERS

Xikers followed and truly switched the vibe of the show. Their performances ranged from the energetic ‘Homeboy’ to the rock-infused ‘DO OR DIE.’ The response from the crowd confirmed they are due their own European tour (KQ, let’s make that happen, please.) Seeing the ‘Tricky House’ choreo so cleanly executed at Korea On Stage was unforgettable and had everyone in awe.

Lee Young Ji

When we tell you it was icon after icon, we didn’t lie. Lee Young Ji brought so many iconic moments to her set that we don’t have enough fingers to count them all. From performing in the audience, singing her original tracks like ‘Not Sorry,’ performing songs she’s collaborated with, including ‘Fighting’ and ‘Smoke,’ to sharing her personal love for K-pop, everyone felt super connected with her and saw her passion.

JANNABI And Henry Moodie

When we say timeless vocals and raw talent, you say JANNABI. The indie rock band sang ‘Together!,’ ‘For Lovers Who Hesitate,’ and ‘Summer.’ Their talent filled the entire arena as a truly unforgettable moment. When everyone thought it couldn’t get any better, they were joined by guest Henry Moodie, where together they covered The Beatles’s ‘Hey Jude.’ This unforgettable collaboration was not on our predictions, but now we can’t stop thinking about it.

P1Harmony

Stepping out as a five-piece (we’re wishing Jiung a speedy recovery), the unstoppable group performed four back-to-back hits. A truly unforgettable moment was the way they opened their set with ‘Look at me now.’ And it wouldn’t be a festival featuring P1Harmony without ‘Follow me.’ This infectious track had everyone jumping along.

ATEEZ

When Ateez makes an appearance, you know it’s time to break the wall. The walls of Wembley were very much shaking after Ateez closed the show with ‘Guerilla.’ Their set was the longest of the line-up, and they surprised fans with ‘Pirate King’ and ‘Eternal Sunshine.’ Along with their latest title track ‘Bouncy’ and beloved ‘Say My Name.’ While their performance truly shone, one moment we’re grateful to be part of was surprising Hongjoong with a birthday message and song. It was a truly unforgettable moment for all Atiny in the crowd.
