Our Dream Setlist For You Me At Six’s Final Tour

Rest in peace, The Honey POP and all of our worker bees. We might as well die with You Me At Six. Thankfully, they’re not leaving us without one final tour as a parting gift. And we’re not letting them go on that tour without telling them the songs we need to hear one last time!

Take Off Your Colors

In our minds, this is like an Eras Tour situation, so we’ve separated the setlist into albums. In the sixteen years since Take Off Your Colors’ release, we just keep coming back to it! We’ll try to keep the list short, though. First, we’ll need ‘Save it For the Bedroom.’ Can you imagine the crowd singing this together? With the music video in mind, we couldn’t think of a better representation of mid-2000s emo music. So what better way to celebrate their beginning?

And then on the other end of things, we’ll also need ‘Always Attract.’ With Josh and his sister Elissa’s voices along with the acoustic guitar, we would do anything for this to be on the final setlist.

Hold Me Down

Hold Me Down features some of You Me At Six’s best work to date. From the opening sirens to the fading notes of ‘Fireworks,’ this album is pure perfection. And while we praise everything to do with this album, we’re thankful that the music videos allow us to relive this era. ‘The Consequence,’ ‘Liquid Confidence (Nothing to Lose),’ and ‘Underdog’ show them playing their hearts out. So after 2025, when you miss them so much, you can revisit their best album. Too bold a statement? Maybe we should save it until we’ve looked at the rest of their masterpieces…

Hold Me Down is the perfect album to hear live if you need to get out your anger. The best way to do that is by adding ‘The Consequence’ and ‘Trophy Eyes’ to the setlist. The whole album is messy in the best way possible, but they still manage to tie it all together with ‘Playing the Blame Game.’ We love a song that drops the album title. So we’ll need that one too!

Sinners Never Sleep

According to some, including Josh himself, Sinners Never Sleep is You Me at Six at their best. Some of their most mature lyrics up to this point are featured on this album! They’re leaving the angry era and entering their introspective era. For this album, we’re adding ‘No One Does It Better,’ where they ask the important questions: “What do I do when I am so in love with you I forgot what I wanted to say? What do I do when you won’t change your ways?” Then we’ll need ‘Crash,’ where they’re reflecting on what got them to this point. Our justification for this one, if we need any, is the beauty of the live version in The Final Night of Sin at Wembley Arena. And of course, we can’t forget about the rock perfection that is ‘Loverboy.’

Cavalier Youth

We made it to their first number-one album! With their 2014 release of Cavalier Youth, YMAS tap into their most mature sound yet. ‘Fresh Start Fever’ in particular makes their statement clear: they’re here to stay, but they’re not the kids they were in the beginning. Along with ‘Fresh Start Fever,’ we’re going to add ‘Lived a Lie’ to this set.

Night People

Our main pick for Night People is ‘Heavy Soul.’ We feel like this one has the perfect energy for a live crowd. And of course, we need the title track. The sound on this album is so different from what they’d done before, and we feel like some of these songs were made to be played live. We can imagine ‘Night People’ being played with the same graphics used in the music video. Actually, we have a lot of ideas. We might as well just plan the tour.

VI

This one is simple, we need ‘3AM.’ The opening instrumental in itself is so fun, we need to dance to it one last time. And we’d like them to add in their choreography from the music video. If the song is on the setlist, the choreography is non-negotiable.

SUCKAPUNCH

As you’ve undoubtedly learned by now, we love a title track. So we bet you can guess our first pick. That’s right. It’s ‘SUCKAPUNCH.’ And we won’t apologize, this song is too iconic. And then we’ll add ‘Adrenaline.’ It has the perfect dramatic vibe for a live crowd!

Truth Decay

Last, but certainly not least: Truth Decay. We can only imagine how many ’90s kids will be celebrating the last twenty years of You Me At Six. So we’ll add ‘God Bless The 90s Kids’ to our dream setlist. And as we’re still waiting, at least in America, for this album’s tour, we would be happy with anything.

How’d we do? Did we get any of the songs you’d want to hear on You Me At Six’s final run? Did we miss any? Let us know in the comments or by tweeting us at @thehoneypop!
