We have quite literally had Deeper Well on a loop since its release; it’s that serious to us. While we’ve loved every project Kacey Musgraves has released, Deeper Well feels like a whole new artist. Going track by track, you can hear the honesty, the hurt, the passion—it’s all so prevalent. We desperately needed to break down our top five tracks with you guys; we need to gush about this record!

‘Too Good to be True’
‘Too Good To Be True’ channels that part of us that always expects things to go wrong. That is always waiting for the switch-up. Kacey Musgraves is so soft-sung and lyrically vulnerable on this track; you can tell there is such desire for the love to remain. This track was an easy addition to the list.
‘Dinner With Friends’
We instantly teared up upon listening to ‘Dinner With Friends,’ this song is such a celebration of life. It’s not this loud upbeat track with heavy instrumentals to match the message, it’s soft and subtle and really makes you look within. Makes you look at the things you appreciate as much as ‘Dinner With Friends.’
‘Deeper Well’
There is a reason this is the title track! ‘Deeper Well’ dives into a reset. It’s Kacey looking at her life and realizing what needs to change in order for her state of being to improve, and that’s a really powerful message to leave with your audience. We know we needed it.
We love how much like early Kacey tracks ‘Deeper Well’ sounds, while at the same time clearly being an artist coming from a different place.
‘Jade Green’
‘Jade Green’ is one of those tracks that we love more with every listen. This song brings us to a place of peace. The whole concept of comparing the safety and peace of knowing someone you love is with you to keeping calming stones with you is something so beautiful.
‘Lonely Millionaire’
We had to round off our list with what is, in actuality, our favorite song on the record, ‘Lonely Millionaire.’ This track dives into the idea that none of the money and fame is worth it if you’re lonely, and that’s something that we love seeing artists explore.
The theme of this record seems to be Kacey so deeply in love, and we couldn’t be happier.
