What’s New This Week: Benson Boone, Alicia Keys, And More!

It’s that time of the week again! We have new music from so many of our favorite artists, it’s beyond a stacked list this week! We have everyone from Benson Boone to Maya Hawke to Megan Moroney! Let’s jump in!

Maggie Rogers – ‘So Sick Of Dreaming’

We’ve got Maggie Rogers kicking us off this week! Maggie Rogers is one of the all-time greats, and each release furthers nails that in. ‘So Sick Of Dreaming’ feels timeless. Upon listening to it for the first time, we automatically connected it to those songs that are passed down through generations and universally loved.

Ginger Winn – ‘Super 8’

We’ve got a debut single! Debut tracks are one of our favorite things to cover; they really show you the initial impression that an artist wants to leave people with. And in our opinion, ‘Super 8’ couldn’t have left a better taste in our mouths. Ginger showcases soft vocals and storytelling ability that can set you up for a long-lasting career.

We feel very calm listening to this song.

Alicia Keys – ‘Kaleidoscope’

Listen, we are automatically in when you combine two of our favorite things, Alicia Keys and Broadway. ‘Kaleidoscope’ is Alicia’s newest track, which is to be featured in Broadway’s newest musical ‘Hell’s Kitchen,’ and it has every element we love out of a show tune. It’s only been out for two days, and we already know every word, which is absolute ear candy.

Braden Bales – ‘ASHED US OUT’

Braden Bales is a name you’re going to be hearing for a very long time. Mark our words. Since ‘CHRONICALLY CAUTIOUS,’ we’ve had this mindset, but ‘ASHED US OUT’ really cemented this for us. If you’re a fan of larger-than-life artists like Benson Boone, Aidan Bissett, etc., you’ll love Braden Bales.

Maya Hawke – ‘Dark’

Is there anything Maya Hawke can’t do? No is the answer to that question btw.

With each release, she is showing more and more that, aside from her acting, she’s an incredibly established artist who keeps improving. We want to see her on festival lineups, touring the moment Chaos Angel, the upcoming album, is out. If the softness and vulnerability of ‘Dark’ is a look into what we’re going to get on this upcoming album, we honestly can’t wait another moment.

Chesle – ‘sunsets & cigarettes’

‘sunsets and cigarettes’ is going to be that song that we are playing on all of our summer nights driving in the car with the windows down. We have become permanent fans now that we’ve checked out a Chesle track.

Benson Boone – ‘Slow It Down’

There is no way you haven’t heard the name Benson Boone by now. He has truly taken over the charts and our on-repeat playlists with ‘Beautiful Things’ and ‘Slow It Down,’ which beautifully show that success was no fluke. ‘Slow It Down’ is the ultimate flex of Benson’s vocal ability and proves a deeper understanding of who he is as an artist with each release. We are looking at the next big pop star. No doubt.

Bradley Simpson – ‘Cry At The Moon’

We have been fans of The Vamps for as long as we can remember, we’re talking about going to CD signings at a mall when Meet The Vamps came out; it runs deep for us. So, of course, when Bradley Simpson releases his debut single, we will support him! ‘Cry at the Moon’ gives us such insight into who Bradley is as a solo artist and we are already eagerly awaiting more music.

Megan Moroney – ‘28th of June’

Megan Moroney is the next big thing in country music, and anyone who isn’t a full-fledged fan yet needs to take one listen to ’28th of June.’ This song completely broke our hearts; breaking up and moving on is the hardest thing, and we imagine it would be harder to put it into words, but she does it beautifully.

Cassadee Pope – ‘Eye Contact’

Closing out a new music round-up with Cassadee Pope is truly the best way to go out. Cassadee will take over the pop-punk scene, it’s really that simple. ‘Eye Contact’ gave Paramore vibes, which we always seek. We can’t see a day in the foreseeable future when this song isn’t blaring from whatever speaker we are near.
