Here’s How The Boyz’s Sunwoo Is An All-Rounder

The Boyz‘s Sunwoo has everything to catch everyone’s attention. From stage presence to overflowing with talent, Sunwoo always steals the show. He’s an incredibly hard-working idol that has continued to grow and evolve through the years. And we can affirm without a single doubt that Kim Sunwoo is simply one of K-Pop’s best all-rounders – and here’s why.

Rapper

Let’s start with what may be obvious to anyone who has even come near The Boyz‘s music. Sunwoo is the group’s main rapper and throughout the years, he has continued to get better and more impactful. He’s the main rapper for a reason. Raps like in ‘Tattoo’ prove just how good he is. But he’s also great at the more emotional rap like in ‘Quasi Una Fantasia.’ Truly, Sunwoo adds something so special to every song in which he has a verse. It’s fair to say he’s one of the main essences behind what makes The Boyz’s music so good. And the times Sunwoo has shown his rap outside of The Boyz, he has risen even more to the occasion and showed different sides of him like in ‘Full Dash’ or Giuk’s ‘LOVE VIRUS.’ He’s constantly innovative with his raps, surprising and blowing us away. There’s a reason so many of his parts go viral.

Dancer

The Boyz are known for their insane choreographies, mind-blowing performances, and perfect synchrony. Truly, not many go as hard as The Boyz do when it comes to dancing and performing. So it isn’t surprising at all when we say Sunwoo is an incredible dancer. However, throughout the years, Sunwoo has grown to be even near to being considered one of the lead dancers in The Boyz. His stage presence is off the chart, and the way he shines on stage is truly something. Whether it’s with The Boyz’s insane choreographies, when filming challenges, or covering songs, he always owns it. His dancing skills never cease to improve, and we’re always shocked at how good he is. Sunwoo was born to be on stage and to be an idol.

Singer

Something that may be a less-known fact is just how good of a vocalist Sunwoo truly is. Every time he has a singing part in The Boyz’s songs, he captivates everyone – his intro in ‘Hurt Me Less‘ is everything to us. But there have been instances where he was able to show even more of his vocals, like when he does covers. Ruel loved Sunwoo’s cover of ‘Painkiller’ during one of his lives so much that they ended up doing a duet. And yeah. We get it. Sunwoo’s singing voice is powerful, unique, and soothing. We could never get tired of Sunwoo’s iconic raps, but there’s also something so charming about vocalist Sunwoo.

Song-writter

Probably our favorite side of Sunwoo’s artistry is his songwriting. Throughout the years, Sunwoo has participated in writing The Boyz‘s songs, especially when it came to writing his own raps, but not only. He’s also behind some of our favorites The Boyz b-sides like ‘Survive The Night,’ in which he was the sole lyricist. He has also developed a style of his own through his solo music and with his band, NAMED LATE. Since 2020, Sunwoo has released several solo songs on The Boyz’s SoundCloud like ‘Berry,’ ‘Photosynthesis’ and ‘Cream.’ He has released several collabs with ONEWE‘s CyA (also known as Giuk), both on his official releases and on his SoundCloud. And let’s just say that Sunwoo never fails to blow us away and captivate us.

Sunwoo has a unique and special style when it comes to his music. He has explored different genres and continuously thrives on creating more and expanding his talent and creativity. He’s not only an idol in every sense of the word, but he’s also an artist with so much to say and show. And we love every part of it.
