It’s our favorite time of the week again! We are back with the best of what’s new in music! We have new projects from so many of our favorites this week! There is something for everyone from Kelsea Ballerini to Hunter Hayes to Lizzy McAlpine! Let’s jump in!
Gavin DeGraw – ‘I Don’t Want To Be’
‘I Don’t Want To Be’ is the perfect song to get fans as excited as possible for the release of Chariot 20. This song is chalked full of nostalgia, both because what an absolute banger it is and because it acted as the theme song for One Tree Hill. Hearing this song revisited all these years later reminds us of what a stellar artist Gavin Degraw has always been.

Kelsea Ballerini – ‘Two Things’
‘Two Things’ may just be the most beautiful and raw love song we’ve ever heard. Kelsea has her heart on her sleeve and is laying out that she knows there will be ups and downs, and that she can love you and yet will still try to return to her old ways of running when things are hard. There is a softness here that is present in a whole other way than the softness displayed on Rolling Up The Welcome Mat.

Lizzy McAlpine – ‘Pushing It Down And Praying’
Older had already completely emotionally left us in shambles, so Older (and Wiser)? We simply won’t be available for a solid week after the release.
And if we had any doubt that the deluxe version of this record would live up to the first half, ‘Pushing It Down And Praying,’ has proven that it most definitely will.

Olivia O’Brien – ‘lower’
Olivia O’Brien’s relationship with her pen needs to be studied! Truly, every single song Olivia releases feels like she’s spilling her guts through her lyrics. It’s a beautiful thing that allows the audience to connect on a deeper level. ‘lower’ touches on so many subjects that so many of us struggle with, and knowing you aren’t alone is the first step to healing, and healing through music is something that can’t be discounted.

Ava Max – ‘Spot A Fake’
Ava Max is a mainstay in pop music for us, and we will need all of you to give her all her well-deserved flowers immediately! From the moment she exploded onto the scene to now, as we sit here writing about ‘Spot A Fake,’ every single song has been an instant smash.

Alec Benjamin – 12 Notes (Deluxe) (16 Notes)
12 Notes is an album we’ve been allowed to soundtrack moments in our lives since May. We’ve fallen in love with so many of the tracks! And now, Alec Benjamin has given us a gift of four extra tracks! These tracks round out this album so perfectly that the original album doesn’t feel complete without them. Our favorite of the bunch is ‘If Shakespeare Were Here.’

Hunter Hayes – ‘In A Song’
Our country king, Hunter Hayes, has granted our greatest wish! He is revisiting one of our favorite songs from his discography, ‘In A Song,’ and breathing new life into it! Listening to this re-record for the first time truly brought us back to discovering Hunter and becoming obsessed with his music for the first time. We couldn’t be happier with this being the first song that got this treatment.

Keith Urban – HIGH
Everything Keith Urban touches is gold. It’s that simple. Since the very beginning of Keith’s career, he’s been an essential voice in the country music world! His newest album, HIGH, is undoubtedly his best work yet, which is quite a compliment. This is the perfect album to close out summer.

Nessa Barrett – ‘DIRTY LITTLE SECRET’
We have been Nessa fans since the beginning and can truly say she has grown so much as an artist. ‘DIRTY LITTLE SECRET’ really put that growth in perspective for us; you can see it in the writing, production, and vocally. We see Nessa Barrett completely taking over the alt-pop scene over the next year.

The Driver Era – ‘You Keep Me Up At Night’
You guys already know how much we love this song. We praised it when it first came out and will praise it again now that we have visuals to go alongside it. The Driver Era is one of our favorite bands/duos, and they just get better and fall deeper into their vision with each release.
