Here’s Everything You Need To Know About TXT’s Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child

Can you believe it’s been eight months since we got a full comeback from K-Pop front-runners Tomorrow X Together? Of course, we’ve been spoiled in the meantime with their Japanese release and a couple of collabs or covers, but MOA have been in a drought since the release of CHAOS CHAPTER: FIGHT OR ESCAPE last August. Well, we’re beyond excited that TXT are back to quench our thirst with the announcement of the mini-album Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child!

Back in 2020, our fave Gen Z IT Boys TXT released one of the best pieces of pandemic art that we’ve seen, EP Minisode 1: Blue Hour. The circumstantial album was a break from the incredibly intricate and confusing TXT Universe. Minisode 1: Blue Hour reflected on time and youth lost, whilst celebrating friendship and self-awareness and was a “pitstop” outside their Dream Chapter series.

Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child serves as an interlude within, or perhaps after, the Chaos Chapter series, and whilst it is a break, so far, the aesthetic seems to be somewhat in line with what we know and love from TXT. TXT are the best of the best when it comes to dark, edgy, honestly borderline creepy concepts, and we can’t wait to see how far they go with Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.

Ok, So, What Is It?

Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child will contain five brand new tracks from our fave guys! After last year’s hits like ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ and ‘LO$ER=LOVER’ had record-breaking success, we hope that this new era will help TXT reach even higher heights globally. Plus, we’re wondering if MOA will get a second fan song?

When Is It?

TXT are dropping Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child on May 9th at 6 pm KST, 5 am EST, 10 am BST. BigHit has already released the Promotion schedule and, whew, no rest for the wicked. 17th-23rd April is hereby known as “Spoiler Week,” and any time spoilers are mentioned in the same conversation as TXT, you know things are about to get chaotic.
