Caroline Romano Helps Us Reminisce With ‘Mississippi Air’

Sometimes we can look back on a wonderful time in the past, and relive those moments present day. We can remember going to specific places, being around certain people, and the utter joy we felt. When we go to those places again, those precious memories can come back to the surface and we breathe them in as though they just happened yesterday. Caroline Romano perfectly paints that feeling with her latest single, ‘Mississippi Air.’

‘Mississippi Air’ is really just a longing for something, or a feeling, that once was. It’s driving past a blur of trees spinning into a film reel, playing a movie of something you used to know, and briefly you are able to breathe.

This latest release by Caroline Romano is bursting at the seams with relatability. ‘Mississippi Air,’ adorned with ethereal vocals and elements of indie-rock, is a true breath of fresh air. It’s a nod to the memories that we can attach to certain moments in our life, specifically certain locations. When we listen to ‘Mississippi Air,’ we can’t help but close our eyes and drift away into our most missed memories of the past. We can relive the feelings associated, and we’re so thankful for that.

I think we all have those moments as we drive through familiar grounds that take us back to when something you’ve lost wasn’t lost at all. It is a deep surrounding type of breath you take in those moments. That’s ‘Mississippi Air’ — lavender bikinis, button downs, silver trucks, pools, and Harry Styles’ songs

Another sensational song from her debut album comes in the form of ‘Panic Attack.’ The track itself has undertones of nostalgia to its sound, and the lyrics are as relatable as they can be. This is one of our favorites next to ‘Mississippi Air!’
