Billie Eilish is that girl and will forever be that girl! She’s beautiful, talented, kind, generous, humble, and a style icon. Even though we received no new album from Billie this year (sad face 😢), we definitely received some iconic fashion looks that are simply unforgettable!
Barbie Girl (In A Barbie World!)
We have to stop and acknowledge Billie’s takeover with ‘What Was I Made For?’ and the stunning yet heart-wrenching video that accompanied it. This song took over 2023 and is nominated for a handful of GRAMMY awards. Of course, the standout moment from the video was her choice of dress and the miniature costumes displayed throughout.
Billie’s yellow dress 💛and classic blonde ponytail take us back to the vintage Barbie doll, but with a modern twist that makes the video so tasteful. We’re also transported back to 2018, 2019, and 2020 with the mini versions of iconic looks like the ‘Bellyache’ raincoat, the black and silver chained fit for ‘lovely,’ and the simple white matching set for ‘when the party’s over.’
Can we also take a moment for an honorable mention of her Barbie movie red carpet look? Billie’s ability to pull off both masculine and feminine styles for Barbie has us in a chokehold! We can’t wait to see what she’ll pull up to the GRAMMYs wearing⭐.
Halloween Cowgirl
Our girl Billie ate up Halloween, yet again! No one was surprised when she pulled up on Halloween with the cutest baby blue cowgirl 🤠 look. She’s inspired us for next year – maybe we’ll be a cute cowgirl/boy or even Billie herself! Dressing up as your fave stan is the best way to go!
The Met
Our jaws dropped the moment we saw this look…and we couldn’t look away. We loved the long black braid down the side of her dress, and we hope for more long-haired moments in 2024! It’s giving inches, baby! The subtle yet intricate design of the Simone Rocha dress 🖤 had everyone turning their heads, and rightfully so! Made from all pre-existing fabrics, from far away, the dress may have looked simplistic, but up close, there were black sparkles, floral lace, beads, ribbons, and sequins placed intricately from head to toe.
Even the smallest detail in the hair clips made Billie stand out on The Met stairs this year!
Nothin’ But Nike
This year, Billie dropped three new Nike collaborations. We weren’t able to get our hands on them (so so sad), but we love them all and have the red and black pair on our Christmas wish list this year ❤️🖤. Billie now has eight collaborations with Nike, all of which have redefined what it means for artists to have merchandise. Only the best quality for Billie stans! We foresee this collaboration lasting many more years to come, and we envision more iconic colors and designs to drop in 2024.
Festival Fashion
2023 was Billie’s year for festivals. Whenever Billie headlines or performs at a festival, we get so excited! Her stage presence is so electric and intoxicating that we wish we could hit every city with her! We had the pleasure of attending Music Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia, but each stop was more iconic than the rest. To match her new hair color, her fits featured red, white, and black jerseys, giving fans everything and more.
She even debuted new merch on some of the stops and made us fall in love with her style even more. We own almost every piece of Billie merch and have no shame in our game!
The Oscar’s Party Princess
Vanity Fair’s Oscar After Party was singlehandedly bodied by Billie. Another all-black moment, but we can’t complain! A feast for the eyes, this outfit seems simplistic at first, but with a closer look, it becomes something else completely. The train spans about 1,000,000 feet (jk, but it’s long!) and completely took over the red carpet ⭐. The dress transformed when Billie lifted up the back end, revealing how the dress is actually see-through with a stunning tight bodysuit underneath.
Not to mention her makeup was on point! A dark black eyeliner moment is something that we’d love to see from her more often.
