It’s that time of the week again! We are back with the best of what’s new in music this week, and we have to warn you, it’s quite the stacked list! We have everyone from Joshua Bassett to Greyson Chance, to Charlotte Cardin. You’re sure to find some new tracks you love!
OSTON – Saint Rich
We are kicking off the week’s new music round-up with one of our new favorite artists, OSTON! OSTON is an artist that needs to be on everyone’s radar, and this EP is the perfect introduction for any new listeners! From the storytelling, to the vocals, to the relatability, OSTON was able to make six songs seem like a full-length album. We will have ‘Carsick’ and ‘Burton St.’ on repeat until further notice.

Sadie Jean – Simple Like 17 (Deluxe)
Our girl Sadie Jean is back with the deluxe version of Simple Like 17, and we are relishing in reliving all the emotions we went through listening to the standard version of the record for the first time. ‘Lights On’ was our favorite track on the OG record, but ‘Shut Up About It’ is the clear front-runner for us on this deluxe project. We are looking forward to Sadie Jean World Domination 2025!

Lyn Lapid & mxmtoon – ‘back from the dead’
Is ‘back from the dead’ one of our favorite collaborations of the year so far? Yes. Yes it is! Lyn Lapid is one of those artists that time and time again blows us out of the water with the choices she makes in her music, vocally, lyrically, and with who she chooses to work with, and this is the perfect example of all of those things. Lyn and mxmtoon have created the track you are going to witness us gushing about all summer long.

Ben Platt – ‘Treehouse’ Ft. Brandy Clark
By now, we’ a’re sure it’s clear that we are super fans of Ben Platt and have been eating up everything he has been releasing! But, ‘Treehouse’ is a whole new ballgame. The blend of Ben’s voice with that of Brandy Clark’s was a beyond genius meeting of the minds, and we honestly couldn’t even have dreamed this up. This is our favorite release from Honeymind so far!

Maude Latour – ‘Cursed Romantics’
Pop princess Maude Latour has released ‘Cursed Romantics’ and you all need to be seated with headphones on and listening! If you are a fan of MARINA, we think this song is going to become an instant favorite as it very much has those vibes! We have already concluded after just living with this track for a few hours that this is a career (so far) highlight from Maude – she just really is that girl, making some of the best pop music in the game.

Greyson Chance – ‘Rearview Mirror’
This is a big moment for us! Greyson Chance is an artist we’ve loved for so long, and anytime we get to celebrate a release from him is a good day for us! If you’re not already a Greyson fan (what are you doing??), something to note is that genuinely with every release, you get a precise look inside his brain. ‘Rearview Mirror’ is the perfect example of this. This release has us more excited than ever for what’s to come from Greyson!

Charlotte Cardin – A Week in Nashville
Usually, we would find a three-song EP to leave us wanting more (which of course, we would never say no to more music from Charlotte Cardin), but with A Week in Nashville, we find ourselves feeling fulfilled. Charlotte was able to tell a story beautifully, and fully, within these songs. We really needed a good cry, and as always, Charlotte provided!
Our favorite track is ‘I Came Here to Leave You.’

Sasha Alex Sloan – Me Again
We have been covering all of the pre-releases and counting down the moments, and Sasha Alex Sloan has finally released her new album, Me Again, so of course we are going to cover it! Me Again is truly an artistic masterclass. Anyone who is struggling with how to express yourself through lyrics, and how to capture the mood of the lyrics through the music, needs to sit down with this album. We found ourselves listening three times in a row after the first listen before being able to sit down and type up these thoughts. It is that good! Our favorite track is currently ‘Picked First,’ but we are sure it will change hourly.

Joshua Bassett – ‘The Golden Years’
EVERYONE REMAIN CALM! Joshua Bassett is officially back with his first release since September, which is far too long for us to go without music from one of our favorite artists! ‘The Golden Years’ is the perfect comeback – it feels nostalgic in the best way, while also feeling like a brand new era of Joshua’s career, a seamless blend. We are itching for a full-length project!

Troye Sivan – Honey (Remix EP)
Closing out this new music article with the Troye Sivan x Mura Masa remixes of our musical dreams is truly the only way to go! This remix EP gave us three remixes of ‘Honey’ and has given us the perfect pre-game playlist additions to listen to before heading to the Sweat Tour! Troye has truly found the perfect home in the many realms of the pop genre. From hyper-pop to soft-pop to indie-pop, we love seeing his artistic identity constantly unfold further!
