Our it boys have done it again. The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY isn’t even out yet, and we already know that TXT has smashed it this comeback. From the concept pictures to the tracklist, everything about this new era is a dream come true! What’s more; one of the most impressive things about TXT is that they’re never cornered into any particular genre…
In the latest album preview for The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, TXT has given us a sneak peek of every track on the mini-album. In six tracks, it seems like they’re going to hit us with the whole arsenal! So many of TXT’s albums span across genres, so we shouldn’t be surprised TBH, but we can’t help our excitement! November 4th can’t come soon enough, but in the meantime, we’ve broken down all the genres included in The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY so far (and all the member co-writing credits)!
‘Heaven’ – Disco, Pop, Smooth Pop
Is there anything more fitting than TXT opening an album with a track called ‘Heaven?’ They’re always angelic, but it looks like they’ll be stepping that up a notch this comeback! ‘Heaven,’ written by Yeonjun, Soobin, and Taehyun, will be giving us disco pop, and an already-iconic TikTok challenge…
‘Over The Moon’ – Pop, Dream Pop, Rock
From the album preview, it seems like ‘Over The Moon’ is going to be a quintessential TXT title track, aka an anthem. ‘Over The Moon’ will be a love song about the “transformative joy of reuniting with ‘you’ and the boundless hope for a shared future.” Cue our wistful sighs! Sonically, the track will be a mix of dreamy pop and TXT’s perfected rock sound. So basically, it seems like ‘Over The Moon’ will be the love child of ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ and ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER.’ What more could you wish for?
‘Danger’ – Pop
From the album preview alone, we already know the ‘Danger’ bass line is going to be stuck in our heads for days. This track seems to be more in line with a classic pop bop, but with a Slow Rabbit production and Yeonjun, Beomgyu, and Taehyun’s pens involved, we cannot wait to jam out to this one.

‘Resist (Not Gonna Run Away)’ – Reggaeton, Pop
Time for TXT to add a new genre to their very, very long list. ‘Resist (Not Gonna Run Away)’ sees the group try out reggaeton for the first time, as well as already giving us plenty of TXT’s angelic falsettos in the preview clip. Whilst reggaeton might be new to TXT, exploring Latin or global genres certainly isn’t, so we can’t wait to see how Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai contributed to this one.
‘Forty One Winks’ – R&B, Pop, Mid-tempo Pop
TXT’s R&B sensibilities are criminally underrated! ‘Forty One Winks’ is already giving us R&B, soul, and alternative R&B. If you’re obsessed with ’20CM,’ ‘Dreamer,’ or ‘Fairy of Shampoo,’ then it’s probably a safe bet that this will be your favorite track on The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY.
‘Higher Than Heaven’ – Rock, Arena rock, Pop-rock
So we began with ‘Heaven’ and we’ll end with ‘Higher Than Heaven;’ we love a full circle moment! Contrasting the sweetness of ‘Heaven,’ though, SANCTUARY‘s closing track is set to become one of our favorite pop-rock anthems. It’s yet another Taehyun co-write, and with their quintessential rock-meets-k-pop sound, we couldn’t think of a better genre for TXT to close their album with!
So, there you have it! We haven’t even heard any tracks in full yet, and we’re already completely enamored with The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY (and TXT, but what’s new there?). Don’t forget to check out the preview below for yourself!
