We are kicking off Fresh Music Friday with an artist we think y’all are going to be automatically obsessed with. Ceara Cavalieri has made a pop masterpiece with ‘Bad Thing,’ we’ve had this track on loop since our first listen. Any track that calls out someone being unfaithful is automatically going to be something so many people can relate to, and this track happens to also be a song you can scream and dance around to.

BENEE – ‘Green Honda’
Here on Fresh Music Friday, we are certified BENEE stans.
‘Green Honda’ is the ultimate post-breakup clarity anthem. This is exactly the track that we picture ourselves driving down the highway screaming the words to after finally realizing that we’ve moved on.
A little fact about us, we were practically raised by MARINA, and this track feels MARINA coded, which is the highest of compliments. Both artists exist in a subgenre of pop we always love when artists venture into.

Ashnikko – ‘You Make Me Sick’
New Ashnikko music, our three favorite words.
With ‘You Make Me Sick,’ Ashnikko continues to defy genre bounds and show that there is no boxing her in. This track makes for the perfect song to just scream along to and let all your pent-up anger put to. We are in need of an Ashnikko album ASAP.

The Academic – Sitting Pretty
Sitting Pretty is going to be an album that we become so obnoxious telling people about. We’re already like that with one of the previously released tracks, ‘Pushing Up Daisies,’ it’s the most solid alt-indie-pop track. The Academic feel like they’re stripped out of a different time in music, and it’s a time we desperately want to go back to.
This band needs to be on everyone’s radar. Listening to this record reminds us of some music that came out of The Beatles. Yes, that’s a big comparison. No, we aren’t taking it back or apologizing.

Jax Jones & Calum Scott – ‘Whistle’
‘Whistle’ is the meeting of minds we didn’t know we needed but now aren’t sure how we lived without. We can see ourselves now in the club getting our life and dancing to ‘Whistle.’ Truly, no Fresh Music Friday is complete without a dance track, so everyone say thank you to Jax Jones and Calum Scott for delivering.

With each release, we feel like we’re getting a better look into who Thomas Day is as an artist ‘Vicious’ is infectious and feels destined to be a hit. Linkin Park – ‘Lost’
Come on, how can we be anything but ecstatic about new Linkin Park music? ‘Lost’ is a song from the Linkin Park vault that we are. Anytime we get to hear Chester and the magic he created with Linkin Park while he was here with us in a new light, we can’t help but feel extremely lucky.
‘Lost’ is truly a triumph.

Ali Gatie – ‘All Comes Back To You’
Ali Gatie has one of those voices that we could listen to forever and never get tired of how beautiful it is.
‘All Comes Back To You’ is one of our favorite love songs we’ve heard in recent memory. This track represents love in the purest form, heartache and all. The line “I’ve been thinking lately how you’ll always be maybe” may have made us ugly cry. We’ll never tell.

Bryce Vine – ‘Gold Rush’
Everything Bryce Vine touches turns to gold, so it’s no surprise that ‘Gold Rush’ has quickly become one of our favorite songs of Bryce’s. ‘Gold Rush’ acts as the newest track from Bryce’s upcoming project, Serotonin, which we already know is going to soundtrack our entire summer. If this is any indication of the upcoming record, we’re about to see Bryce Vine get the flowers he deserves.
