We’re simple beings, all we want to do is enjoy music across all genres and share what we love about music with the masses.
There is so much talent to be found spanning all genres, with two genres that we really love being pop and country. Something that has been such a joy for us has been the recent wave of those two genres merging. The country-pop crossover sound was definitely popularized by Taylor Swift, and now we’re getting so many country artists and pop artists collaborating both in official tracks on surprise on-stage meeting of minds.
We are breaking down some of our favorite country-pop crossovers here for you!
Charlie Puth – ‘That’s Not How This Works’ (Ft. Dan + Shay)
This collaboration feels plucked from our wildest dreams! Charlie and Dan + Shay have such distinct voices, that all contain such raw emotion, which makes for the perfect match up here on ‘That’s Not How It Works.’ Dan + Shay and Charlie Puth performing this track live is going to be on a whole other level, and we simply can’t wait.

Shawn Mendes & Zac Brown Band – ‘Colder Weather’
CMT Crossroads has brought us some of the greatest country-pop crossovers, but we had to highlight this Shawn Mendes and Zac Brown Band collab! The pair sang both ‘Colder Weather’ and ‘Mercy,’ showcasing that they can each exist within the respective genres. We could listen to their voices mesh together for hours on end.
Ed Sheeran & Chris Stapleton & Bruno Mars- ‘BLOW’
To round out this list we had to do this with a holy trifecta of a collaboration. Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars on a track together is already something that sounds otherworldly, and when you add Chris Stapleton to the mix? Magic Happens! This track is one of the standouts from Ed’s album, No. 6 Collaborations Project.
